Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk (PS3/PSN) - Out now!

The official name for Gust's Project A14 has been revealed in Dengeki PlayStation this week to be Ayesha no Atelier, or Atelier Ayesha.

The magazine reveals two characters: Ayesha Artool (voiced by Marina Inoue) and Nio Artool (voiced by Mariya Ise). At the game's unveiling last week, Gust announced the voice actresses, but did not share the character names or the new character designer. Dengeki reveals the designer to be Hidari (known for the Fractal anime).

Nio is Asha's little sister. Nio has gone missing, leaving Ayesha lonely. Just as she has come to grips with her sadness, Ayesha discovers some traces of her sister and comes to believe that she is alive somewhere. Asha heads out her journey.

Dengeki mentions one new gameplay system, the "Connecting Memories" system. As Ayesha progresses on her search for her sister, all the various happenings will be recorded in a journal. As she reviews these journal entries, she will grow.

The game will have a command battle system with a newly added "cost" element. Enemy position is a central element to strategy, as it seems that attacking more distant enemies will require additional cost.

Atelier Ayesha will be released on June 28.

I'm thinking it'll be a PS3 title. Maybe PSP, but if they're on board of the Vita already, they might do something else rather than another portable title for 2012.

Mana Khemia 3 on PS3, or I'll take a new Atelier game thats more like the Iris iterations on PS3, if it's something for the stupid handhelds then I could care less.

I'll take any PS3 title, preferably one of an already existing series of theirs.

And also, isn't there like multiple appropriate threads for this kind of information Shizuka? :|

...Like? The last one that hinted a Gust title ended up being Surge Concerto, and I edited it and turned it into the game's own topic. This hinting is new, therefore being made for another future, unannounced title.

True. I just figured it to be a discussion of General Chat until real news surfaced.

Well this way we hopefully don't have to worry about multiple people trying to create a topic when the game is actually revealed.
As for the game itself, I would prefer it to be more like Gust's previous games than Surge Concerto.

I just create these placeholders when it's about Gust, Imageepoch, NIS and a few other JRPG developers.

Sweet. But will it be Mana Khemia 3, a new trilogy set in a new land, or something completely different?

Looks and I'm expecting it to be the next Atelier game. But who knows for sure. A new Ar Tonelico would be the awesomeness.

Looks like Shiz was right.

This is a great announcement! I'm glad it turned out to be something good. I'm really curious to see the illustrations for the game. I wonder who the new designer is.
