"Odileia," yet another questionable romanization :/ {Odiria} is pretty clearly "Odelia" in English, just as how {Asha} should be... "Asha" but somehow became "Ayesha."

Yeah, that's another questionable one...I still don't approve too much of Ayesha, since it sounds odd...but meh, I'll get used to it by the time it comes out in English, I'm sure

...and Rorona, Totori and Meruru weren't? To say nothing of their full names...
It almost seems to be a mandatory requirement by now.

Personally, I'm talking about the romanization of their names, not the names themselves. Getting "Odileia" from "oh-DEE-REE-ah" is a bit of a stretch, especially since, at least for me, "Leia" makes me think of Star Wars ---> "Lay-uh" so "Odileia" makes me think "OH-dill-LAY-uh." Same with "Ayesha," I think of "ai-YEE-sha," not "AH-sha" (or "ah-SHA," not sure where the emphasis is in the Japanese name).

Yeah, that makes me bust up...I mean, some sickly sweet/cute stuff does bug me, but Atelier Meruru sure as heck doesn't, and neither does this

I can almost see not liking the cute style (though I don't think that should factor so heavily in a review), but the way that review talked about the supposed "oversexualization of minors" you'd think this was Ar Tonelico or something. I really don't know what he's talking about for Meruru since I only came upon one scene that I think even gets close to fitting such a description.

I don't see the oversexualization of minors at all...most of the fan servicey stuff happened during year 2 or above for me, so she was legal in some states, and most countries

So yeah, nothing wrong with Atelier games, and it's comments like that, that make me feel that most reviewers have an insane bias...ahem, anyways, back to Ayesha discussion

Not too likely, the majority of them are at even what America would consider an 'adult' age.

yeah that was the point you should not lower it because it was cute. All you gotta say is its really cutesy game and if not in to that then this game ain't for you (simple as that)

Not too likely, the majority of them are at even what America would consider an 'adult' age.

Most of them are actually past the legal age, and are at or past what is considered 'true adulthood' in Japan known as 'hatachi'. Most are close/past the legal drinking age even. Some even past the legal gambling age here!

This is NOT a younguns cast. Wilbell is the only playable character revealed thus far that's even below 17. And then out of the not playable characters we have Nio and Tanya to add. But that's it. Everyone else who has been revealed is 20 or above, except Ayesha who is 17 and Meriatta at 19.

Maybe, though the revealed battle characters do seem to add up to the standard Atelier game party...and yeah vamp, like I said, most of em are even legal here in a large number of states as well (quite a few have an age of consent of 16)
