Sorry if I live in America, where such things are not sold, nor even usually talked about.

Rhythm games aren't even a new genre. Parappa The Rapper was a rhythm game. Though, indeed, if you're a mainstream sort, you'd never hear of them.

While talking to Siliconera, Sega's First-Party Coordinator, Andrew Wong, said that so far interest has been good.

It would be miraculous if it actually came over, but it would be a waste of money to localize (I would buy it, though).

I can't see how it would be a waste to localize. It'll be cheaper, menus/all system/misc text and songs will be translated, and you can get DLC and trophies on your main account (unless your main account is EU, but they may localize it all around anyway).

I sure hope they do. I won't import it, but something as simple as translating menus and HUD will make it an instant purchase for me.

They still have to pay licensing fees and whatnot. I don't think the sales would be enough to recoup the cost of localization. It's more than just translating, and while there may be a lot of Hatsune Miku fans, not many of those fans may be willing to buy a Vita or the game itself.

Exactly this. This game is a really BIG risk, ESPECIALLY on the Vita.

Bigger risks have the potential for larger rewards.

Lots of non-gamers were fascinated when I was playing Project Diva, and gave the intent that they would have bought a PSP if it were brought over. Some of them people who actually dislike Vocaloid. They just thought the gameplay was nice.

Pretty much that. Saying "I live in America" is ridiculous :/ Pretty much EVERY game involving music/dancing is a rhythm game.

Well it's not and it is? It doesn't involve playing a fake instrument or doing fake dancing/singing of any sort.

Wow, even less gameplay? That's encouraging.

NOTE- I am not defending fake instruments/dancing/singing of any kind.

Not 'less gameplay.'

Why not just watch one of the videos on the first post?

I tried, they wouldn't work. Kept getting error messages. Not sure why.
