Freakin' Epic.

This post has just made my day. Is there any release information around somewhere? I'll be tickled excited when this does indeed come out...

It's also nice to see that they're throwing in the classic games as well. Talk about awesome! :D

They're adding an armor-mounted flashlight? Do not want.

Well, the most popular mod for it was the duct-tape mod...

Interesting...can this really be called a remastering though? It looks like they remade the entire game

Unless the Doom I kept seeing was Doom 2...

Yup

Then yes, that was the pre-3 Dooms. :P
Which was a long time ago.

I'll buy it, getting all 3 games in 1 package plus the D3 Expansion is great. Not too excited about the addition of the shoulder mounted flashlight as the original mechanic is what helped with the tension. Oh well, I still think it will be fun and I'll definitely buy it.

The release is the generic "sometime this fall".

As stated here, it's due for release on 16th/19th October for NA/EU, and there's also a trailer there.

Awesome dood! :D

Will be getting it, so I can finally play Doom 3 without any issues (my modern PC (which now has a defective motherboard that is waiting to get replaced) could run it, but the frames knocked up and down recklessly; I would shell out some extra dollars for performance parts, but I'd have to get myself more than just a graphics card)...

Hopefully, they will add keyboard and mouse support, like Unreal Tournament 3 did (which, to my knowledge, is the only PS3 game in existence to natively support a keyboard and mouse). Thanks for the news.

Considering Rage didn't have m/kb, I doubt this will.

Other than UT3, Counter-Strike: GO and Dust 514 will supposedly support m/kb. But there's only a few other games that utilize m/kb in some way and they're not even worth mentioning.

Apparently when developers ask Sony about implementing m/kb, Sony insists that they add PS Move support instead :/
