Natsume isn't making the game, Toybox is. The game will probably not have any combat like in Recettear.

It's been awhile, but we have a trailer and news on the project! The trailer could have done without the narrator speaking in first person.
First off the game's new name is HomeTown Story. The game is also close to halfway complete. The game will be out in 2013. A small scene from the trailer all but confirms marriage is in the game. It also seems to be pretty close to Recettear, the store part that is.

No CC, forced protagonist, no Voice Acting, and the Voice acting of the old man MC was horrid....

This really doesn't look like anything special.

and a not so appealing artstyle with generic character designs

There were shots of the girl protagonist around the :58 mark if that's what you mean by forced protagonist.

HM games typically don't have voices anyway so that's not a surprise.

And who knows? They still may put them in. They're only 50-60% done.

The character artwork is fugly...I mean really?! That stuff is awful... :shock:

Everything else is reasonable, but the artwork is turning me off to the whole game...
