@vamp
I dunno, our version was just the localized version of the original with some extra DLC - unless all games with dual audio are considered Global Editions? The new thing coming out there is specifically being called it, whereas ours wasn't, so I dunno. Regardless, Japan's Global Edition will also likely come with or have access to the original DLC we never got as well.

Our version is specifically called the "Global Edition."

Basically, the JPN are getting ENG VA and some new portraits. I think this'll be their 3rd or 4th version of Demon Gaze

Is it? I have not seen this anywhere, but I'll take your word for it!

Isn't it just the second? Unless you count it going Best, if it did.

I returned my copy, but you can verify it by looking at the save file. It says something like "Demon Gaze: Global Edition."

I counted the Best version and I thought there was something added to that version... :?

I'll have to search for them, but I remember a couple JPN games getting added content in their Best version. It makes sense if they want to push more sales and their various costs have been met.

Ah, it is a fun game. Other games like that couldn't keep me long... but this does. :D
Though, those random monster hardcore setup is sometimes frustrating... but luckily it doesn't happen all the time..
What I mean are like a horde of massively overpowered enemies.. say up to 10 tanks units and up to 5 fighters and some healers... I think I counted 10 rows of enemies plus a line floating in the air... and I didn't have the initiative... I had to redo everything since the last circle....

Other than that it's really a sweet game... I guess I was a bit overpowered in the grand castle... Jupiter took no more than five rounds with a party of four.. and I retrieved almost no damage..

Astate was the only real bummer thus far; but at the same time a good learning point of what you are doing wrong in battle

I am eager to see what comes next... :D

Hey, I downloaded Demon Gaze from the PSN store and need some help if that's okay.

What level I should be before facing Mars at Red City?

It'd be wise to have three members, although you can take her on with just the Gazer and another member, preferably a Paladin. About the level, I don't remember, but strategy and getting a team that'll work well for you will matter most later on.

The main thing is getting to the 5 party limit ASAP. After that it's just grinding levels and buying good gear.

I never used a Paladin and I made it (relatively) scathe-free until Neptune and even that wouldn't be hard if the game didn't nerf my actions... :?

Less from buying, more like dropping from the seals.

I still only have a team of four (Gazer, Paladin, Migmy and Dwarf)... I can't decide on the last class..

Currently I'm about to defeat Venus...

Though, I think I made something wrong... my Paladin is kind of weak and thus stands in the back-line

Migmy and Dwarf aren't classes, they're races. Which are their classes? Maybe we can help you decide the last one.

Healer is the only "required" class, everything else can be mixed and matched to varying levels of success.

My team was:

Front: Gazer, Assassin
Back: Ranger, Healer and Wizard

If I get the game again I'll probably drop the Wizard for a Fighter or a Samurai. My Gazer was the tank while my Ranger & Assassin dealt the heavy damage.

Ah, of course. Stupid me, messed it up

Dwarf is a fighter, Migmy is a healer, Human is a Paladin.

Gazer and Fighter in the Front
Paladin and Healer in the back...
