Neptunia Replacement Box?

Postby rainking187 » Sat Feb 19, 2011 9:12 am

I was wondering, anyway to get a replacement outer box for Neptunia? I saw there was a flap on the top of the box and kind of assumed that was how you opened it, which apparently is incorrect, as now there's a tear on the top of my box. It's very irritating.

I admittedly made a bit of a blunder with mine as well. The sticky stuff at the top of the box that holds the front flap down made me think I wasn't supposed to open it that way, so I started pulling on the side a bit. I accidentally ripped halfway into the flap at the top. (It's not terribly strong, I wasn't pulling hard.) Then I realized that the front flap did pull away. I peeled the sticky stuff off and threw it away so I wouldn't do that anymore.

And all of this is after spending about 5 minutes just trying to get the thing open in the first place. I had to get a letter opener just to get through that side flap without destroying the box (after doing significant damage to it trying to pry it open with my fingernail).

I also had trouble getting the art book out. It seemed to have been stuck on something in the box.

It's a nice box, but it was really poorly designed.

It was just designed in a complex manner xD I do agree, considering that most people just really wanted to play their game, they could have gone with something more simple. But, it's really nice if you managed to open it the right way ^-^

While not Neptunia but when I got the Gamestop edition of Atelier Rorona, it took me awhile to figure out how to open it. Luckily I didn't rip it though.

Hahaha man, the sticky stuff threw me for a loop in the opposite direction actually. Since that kind of stuff is usually on things to hold them in place UNTIL it gets to their owner (like things in magazines and such), that was how I assumed it was the way to go.

Plus, well, it was the top and all.

Well I was confused by it because it didn't really need to be there if the thing was closed from the side and shrinkwrapped.

Thanks to all of you who opened your packages before me. After reading your posts, I have successfully opened my package without damaging it. Your sacrifices have not been in vain and you will be remembered.

Ouch. I'm glad I registered a forum account. To the people that ripped their box, did you preorder from NIS America? I'm still waiting. :/

It's too late for me! I have already sent my packaging to its grave. The contents will be very well treated however so its sacrifice will not be in vain. It was a strange process:

"Oh, it opens from the side. Okay so... how does this thing open? I'm slowly damaging it when attempting to open it with my fingers so that's a no go... You know what? Screw it. RIIIIP."

I try to preserve the premium boxes if I can help it but Neptunia's did not survive. That package was not meant to be conveniently opened :(
Insert signature here. I'm uninspired.
