Is it just me or is Noir statistically superior?

Postby Ghaleon » Thu Feb 24, 2011 4:04 pm

Noire/black heart is my fave goddess, so I made an effort to get her first, now I've gotten the other 2, and I'm not sure if it's just my bias imagination because I like her most. But I swear she's just plain better than the other characters. her 20 ap combo link is uber, she just plain does more damage with her regular attacks than anybody. She even can use ranged attacks at 8ap and do more damage with them than compa, despite me having a weapon for compa with over 3000 magic attack (while everyone else doesn't have more than 1500), she has great hp and defenses. I don't think there is anything she isn't the best, or 2nd best at. Her version of Neptune breaker doesn't seem as good (it's close though), though it's 10 ap cheaper, so it's pretty even in terms of efficiency I suppose. But then again Neptune's current weapon is more powerful atm for me.

So yeah, is it my imagination or is she just the most powerful character? Normally characters in videogames I like most tend to be pretty meh, but this time...

Noire is the best. Her stats are only slightly lower than Neptune's but her speed is way higher so she attacks first anyways. That alone makes her superior as she kills everything before Neptune even gets to attack.

Weird, my black heart's attacks are significantly more powerful than neptune's except for infinite blades/Neptune breaker that is, which is really pretty even considering the 50/60 cost.

Green heart finally has a weapon for sale for me now though. She is really mean with the guns, might be as good as black heart for normal attacks. Her ultimate thing is pretty weak though since it uses her low str and not her high int:

I like white heart as a character (no as much as black though), but Uhh... She really seems to suck! Even against bosses her ultimate does less damage than black's 20ap combo link attack!

Black heart is statistically the strongest one but even so i find that Neptune breaker will do more damage than Infinite Slash. Hit for hit though BH is a best until you get the final weapons .. because Black Hearts strongest is 3600 for attack and Neptunes is 4000 but i still think overall Black Heart is the strongest one.

White Heart is a tank, she's good to have to absorb some hits without worries, Green Heart . . . well i dunno if she had a magic based special she might be ok ... once you get Gungunir her attacks become slightly better but still nothing compared to Neptune and Black Heart.

How are they compared to Compa and IF?

Well, if you Use green heart like compa instead of melée, she really does seem to do about as much as black heart only without the good ultimate. I mean her ultimate is good but not black heart/purple heart good. Like I said, about 3/5 as good. Green heart actually has the best ultimate but her low strength stat wastes it somewhat.

White heart... Uhh... Well I haven't actually used if in a while. But she just might be worse actually.
I might use her anyway though, I like her, and green heart as a playable character has a bit too much over gratuitous boob bouncing for my tastes. I mean her transform sequence pose at the end is nothing but her spreading her limbs as they jiggle =/.

As for white heart being Tanky... Well her bit is high, but her HP is not, and there is no way for her to take hits for other members or whatever anyway, so yeah, seems pretty bad

Can grinding/good equipment make up for that at all?

Well she's only level 66 or so for me but I don't see why not. But really, no matter how much you level her, I rekon it'll always behind those other ones if you level them up the same amount. I mean compa at level 99 can make Neptune look like she hits like a wet noodle if you don't level her up too, but that's not exactly a practical or realistic solution >=P

If you beat the Lowee level 99 dungeon boss, he drops the "CPU Breaker" weapon for white heart, it has like 5500 attack power...making her crazy strong...and changing her CPU form weapon too! Havent been able to find any other ultimate weapons yet though =/

Sweet mother of Atari.

That's a loooong ways away for those of us still getting the Key Fragments. Does the game have an "epilogue", like Disgaea 3, after you beat the last boss, or is it more like Disgaea 1-2, and you can't actually do the post-game stuff unless you do it "during" the main story?

The latter, you have to get to the end of the game "last dungeon" then all the stuff will be unlocked for you to do. The game ends and restarts once you beat it.

Aww man... Does it do it automatically, or can you choose not to save over your file?

I mean, I do want to see the end of the game and all, but to go through it all again would also be kinda...

yea, you can just save it in a different slot. I have like 4 different save slots, lol. one for eng game save data, one for world save, a backup world save, and an in-dungeon save.

Aaagh, I'm the type that likes completing everything on one file. I guess if I've got to, I've got to. Gotta get those Goddesses after all.
