You know, regarding the question asked earlier, there's a good reason to ask it.

I mean, wouldn't you want to know if the Mafia could change their vote to target someone else if you didn't know? If they're locked in, you can say whatever the hell you want, but if not, then you might want to be a little guarded.

We also have to worry about when exactly the votes are due. Because, they could also just as easily hold off their votes until the very end. It's never safe to just list off strategies that are completely dependant on whether you get voted, before you are sure on whether or not they had all voted.

Of course, this is kind of difficult, because there's usually not much time inbetween the lynch lock and the actual lynch scene.

And I don't even remember if in the night phase there is a statement saying 'lynch lock'.

There is no statement telling the players if actions have been received. You just wait around the topic at the deadline and wait for the post to find out who (if anyone) bit the dust that night. And I said this at the start of the phase, but I will be unavailable at the deadline. I should be back about an hour afterwards and will start the next day phase at that time. So in this case, waiting around the topic at the deadline will get you nowhere as far as finding out what happened in the night phase.

Night 1: No Fences Make Dead Neighbors

A cold wind blew through Coriander that night, carrying the sounds of the ever-nearing Black Hole with it. The visitors were still troubled about their failure to identify a malefactor, but still knew they had to get some sleep. Alas, their preoccupation with the larger picture of stopping Sturm's army caused them to miss a critical detail: someone made off with the ceremonial sword used in the execution. The Mayor noticed its absence, but thought nothing of it. He assumed the Professor had made off with it for one of his projects. As long as it was returned by the time of the execution, it mattered very little.

But the one who had taken the sword was planning on returning it much sooner, as everyone would soon discover. The next morning, the town was awakened to the screams of a flower girl who had arrived in the square to set up shop and had found the sword, cleaned, polished, and looking perfectly new...lying next to the severed head of the visitor known as Lopez.

The other visitors, the Mayor, and the Professor were all on the scene quickly as everyone wished to know the true identity of the dead man. The Professor performed a quick analysis and declared "Well, he certainly wasn't evil. His name was Ziggurat 8, but I guess everyone called him Ziggy. He was also apparently part of some society called the Masons. I have no idea what that means, but there you have it." He turned to the visitors. "I would recommend you find those evildoers before we see any more senseless deaths like this."

And so the second day began and the visitors were once again tasked with finding who among them was evil.

Ziggy's body was never recovered.

Lopez (Ziggy-Xenosaga series)(Mason) was decapitated on Night 1

Here's what I was able to get from it (all wine, but I still want to throw it out there).

1) It wouldn't be too much of a stretch to say that (point 1) at least one person was on the Xeras wagon.
1.5) The mafia may want us to think that by killing Lopez, and leaving only two targets, possibly leading to two mislynches.
2) There could be multiple scum on the Nazou wagon (possibly to save Xeras), and they killed someone not on the wagon to leave a bigger ratio of town to scum on it.
3) Mafia could be on neither of the big wagons, and are hoping to get under the radar by permeating focus on the wagons that they weren't on.

Well this is nice and all, but it's still minor compared to what transpired D1. I'm going to go ahead and

This post also leads me to believe that his "plan" may have been some last minute cover up (note: he did not die).

I actually realized something when I took my lunch break at 5. So all night I have been thinking about the pros and cons. The way my question looks is the biggest con I found.

If people start voting sj, I will switch my vote. But I also noticed that mafia try to keep a low profile (Ie Why vote off lynchbait, quillbell says Because they ain't so smart, and thus avoiding all attention on himself.)

Furthermore, it seems like the mafia is an expert at Xeras tactics. I keep on expecting normal logic, and they do something that makes me go wtf. Like how I believe it was lopez that was saying that I am too 'obvious'. And the fact that he also voted for me. It seems like they knew my next 'logical' thought.

Man I am stuck. Either Sj is rude, or the 'real' mafia is polite. But I don't see Sj delaying the mafia vote on purpose, when Necro asked so nicely for a timely response. The more and more I think about, the more and more it seems like the mafia is framing me. IIRC Lopez was somewhat defending me. The other people that are actually being nice to are darkclaymore, and Phoenix. I wonder if one of them will be the next nightkill.

Reasons for voting were:

As I said, 'with the powers of random'.

As in, I used random.org. And it landed on Naz between the two of you.

As I said, in my experience, those who vote for someone, and don't give much reason, tend to be mafia. Everyone else, when voting, gave a pretty decent reason from what I remember.

I'm willing to see where Xeras is going with this experiment, as I'm not convinced that either one is mafia (just suspicious as hell). Plus, I have a stake in this as well, as I'd rather not die today, and Nazou never did fully explain why they voted me. Neither did Lopez for that matter, but he's not the one with a vote on him currently.

There's a chance Nazou may be town, I understand, but this is the best lynch idea we have had so far this game.

I worked out these steps assuming the first one to follow a vote on me is mafia. The reason for this is that other than Sj, everyone doesn't really know if I am scum or not. If I am a townsperson like I said and there is no real evidence against me then the it is highly likely that a mafia member would try to eliminate an easy target.

Just to note, my was out of pure boredom and due to having no actual suspect.

And... not sure I found the best reasons and explanations but this is all I got.

Since vampko voted first for Nazou, it makes him the least suspicious one for me. Because he voted before the whole "Nazou lynch voting" started. Of course, this makes me more suspicions, BUT I also voted Nazou quite a while before the rest did. Of course you can also think that both me and vampko are mafia members and that it was decided beforehand that Nazou will be the target and therefore I'm not sure whatever it really helps anyone.

Also, it's just me saying but I have a hard time buying Quillbell's explanation of choosing by random number. Of course that it's possible that it really turned out like this, but it sounds to convenient to me...
