eh... these 'if I die' converstations should be saved until the very end of the night phase. I strongly believe that is why mine backfired. At least Quill was able to back me up indirectly.

I was wondering...

Now that I look back on Sj's efforts to defend himself, I can see the he messed up BIG time. When thinking about it this way, it doesn't even look like he was serious about protecting himself.

He made AT LEAST two big and stupid mistakes:

1) Claiming double role. Seems like it alarmed people who played before in this forum and it even alarmed me, though I wasn't sure until Apollo actually said it out loud. He could just claim he's a miller. Why go for watcher as well?

2) Claiming his character is from WRPG. I personally didn't know until then that characters in this one are only for JRPGs ( ) but I assume Sj knew. So why make such an obvious lie?

Just feels strange. He kind of made himself more suspicious by trying to defend himself. He had everything he needed but... used it in a TOTALLY wrong way. Which is strange because I had the impression he's an exprecienced player...

There's really nothing he could've done. Even if he managed to avoid a quicklynch he'd have been killed eventually anyway.

I think he went with a WRPG because he has some sort of Complex. There is someone like that at work. They come up with the most ridiculous ideas to see if anyone will follow along with them. He knew the naming scheme, because I talked to him about it quite often. And then he told me Necro was a female.

Back in high school we had to go to Bakersfield, California for a Virtual Enterprise training class thing. I got used to saying 'I don't get out much' by the end of the trip.

Honestly if he had not doubled claimed (which I swore I saw a post from Necro saying no one has 2 roles) and picked a JRPG character, I still think he would have died. He's our biggest lead. People are right, we have to take risks and look how it paid off.

I will eliminate any doubts you have remaining by saying I am male. I am not playing a trouser role, nor am I a woman pretending to be a man in an attempt to secure employment from an Illyrian noble.

I think I corrected you twice in this game, and you didn't seem to get it till the second time

I also think you saw a typo of SJ, and thought it was real, and then SJ just messed with you because of it. But, I actually don't recall SJ giving you reason to go along with that. I really think you just saw a typo, and ingrained it as fact. Completely ignoring how everyone else on here would refer to Necro as male.

SJ might of had a chance to last for one more day phase, but after Quill's claim, there really wasn't much he could do.

Still, because of his slip-ups, we made it and finally ousted one of the mafia

Night 2: Double Exposure

The visitors were quite pleased with the results of the previous day. They had eliminated a member of the Mafia. Now there was one fewer threat facing Coriander. But at the same time, they knew the retaliation of the Mafia would be swift and severe. To frustrate this, the Mayor had locked away the ceremonial sword. If there were to be a murder, it would not be committed with that sacrificial blade.

But such an act would not stop murderous forces at work in the town. The next morning, when the visitors assembled for what had become a daily ritual of determining who among them would die, two of their number were missing: DisgaeaBlitz and Phoenix_Apollo. Townspeople were dispatched to check on the lodgings of the missing persons and the Professor was summoned in case identifying a body became necessary. The results of the search were even more morbid than initially feared. DisgaeaBlitz was found drowned in the sink of her quarters while Phoenix_Apollo had been beaten to death with some blunt object and stuffed into a wardrobe. The visitors were shocked. Two deaths in the same night? It couldn't be!

While they were still in shock over what had happened, the Professor performed his now customary duty of identifying the dead. His results were discouraging. DisgaeaBlitz was named Meredia O'Keife and had no special abilities, though she was of the good persuasion. However, Phoenix was named Dr. Citan Uzuki. The Professor placed especial emphasis on the "doctor" part of this revelation and continued. Phoenix was apparently no normal doctor, but something called a jailer.

The visitors despaired. Not only was their number reduced by two, but one of them had been capable of protecting them from the Mafia. To make matters worse, they heard the distant sound of the tramp of feat, reminding them the Black Hole was growing ever closer. Time was beginning to run short. They had to find another Mafia member and quickly.
