Hello,

We're writing about the order you placed on June 12 2011 (Order# xxx-xxxxx-xxxxxx). Unfortunately, the release date for the item(s) listed below has changed, and we need to provide you with a new delivery estimate based on the new release date:

Gust, Ryou Nagi "Ar Tonelico Visual Book"
Estimated arrival date: February 03 2012 - February 23 2012

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this delay.

WHAT THE HELL?

I also got an reply from Udon where they told me the artbook is already on its way to amazon and other stores and that it should be available by august this year.

Studying Japanese in college, I've had some programming classes, I know a bunch about computers (could possibly be a techie even) I'm just trying to get a job right now though. Not a career. That's what college is for. I still need to learn much more Japanese before I try for a career.

Yeah, this is very strange. I got an email earlier today saying that it would arrive some time around January 12th, 2012.

Someone messed up.

The Tech sector is probably a better bet...

Meh, I'll do what I do. I've always had great fun with Japanese and translating, and I've got some aptitude in it. Some say skill even. I never really know what it will lead up to. What I do know, is that I just couldn't stay interested in programming. And if I were a tech support person as a career, I'd probably get fired or something at some point. As a job though, it's plausible.

Temporary derailment.

The ship date is January for me now. Can't wait for the Valkyria 2 book as well.

I wouldn't be surprised to find out that there was a lot more interest in the art book then originally believed. Mine also is now set for Jan. as well. Still have it pre-ordered.

The only people who are more then likely surprised about this are those who tend to be narrow minded about regionalizing.

Now if they would only try to find out how much interest there is for a AT 1-3 box set including every piece of music. I for one wouldn't care how much it would cost, and i wish i could afford to get all the licensing for all the AT music.

That would just be imported... no need for localization.

I DO want the novels for what happens after AT3, it's critically important to the plot actually.

Also let me know if someone has decided to fan-translate it.

How many of them are there? I just finished Ar Tonelico 3 and 2 (in this order) and it fells like there are many things I didn't catch like [Spoiler from Ar Tonelico 2 and 3] >
Spoiler:
why did Mir/Jaqcli wanted to save the world? Is it anything I would understand by playing the first game?

ps: no spoilers from the first game please.

Yes, I would play the first game. I could explain it, but that'd spoil the first game. I also suggest you visit the Ar tonelico wiki, as it's a bastion of information. Many things aren't explained fully or covered at all in the games. They're explained through satellite projects like visual books, light novels, the Toukousphere and such.

Yeah you would need to play the first game.

Unfortunately, by playing the her route you've spoiled the 1st game harder than we ever could :P
