"Oh sure, ja, sounds good." Rosette smiled "Lead ze way."

Emilia made it to the cafeteria and made her way to Holly. She stopped humming and stood behind her. "Hey, uh...I was wondering, you know...before I forget to ask..." she said, somewhat shyly. "Uh...around, what day or time should I be prepared for tutoring? I'm just wondering so that...you know, so that I can make sure I'm not busy or anything." she asked, "There's no need to have an answer now of course."

"Alright then," Rin walked over to Alana's door, with Rosette in tow, and knocked. "Alana, you up yet? I think I have a way to help you with your water magic!" She said loudly into the door.

Emilia made it to the cafeteria and made her way to Holly. She stopped humming and stood behind her. "Hey, uh...I was wondering, you know...before I forget to ask..." she said, somewhat shyly. "Uh...around, what day or time should I be prepared for tutoring? Holly had polished off her breakfast in record time. Looking up at Emilia she said,

"Now's pretty good. I have to go back to the dorms to change anyways." She scanned the room. Bernie was nowhere to be seen. Again.

"You know what? Bernie can sit this one out. You good for a session after I get some dry clothes on?"

Alana woke up immediately when she heard a knock at her door. Son of a basket, that scared me! she sighed. "Well, Rin, it looks like i am now!" she yelled said hopping off her bed, and heading to the door.

She unlocked the door, and opened it too see Rin and a girl she had never seen before standing in front of her. "What is it? I am still," she yawned which interrupted her sentence "sorta sleepy." she said rubbing her eyes.

Holly had polished off her breakfast in record time. Looking up at Emilia she said,

"Now's pretty good. I have to go back to the dorms to change anyways." She scanned the room. Bernie was nowhere to be seen. Again.

"You know what? Bernie can sit this one out. You good for a session after I get some dry clothes on?"

"Er...I guess, sure." Emilia said. "I'll go get your book, so...I'll see you over by the dorms, alright?"

"Rosette here," she motioned to the blonde-hair blue-eyed girl, "needs to water her plant. And you need to learn how to control your magic, so...you are going to water her plant with your magic."

Alana sighed "And I agreed to this when?" "Fine, fine, if it will help me control my magic it's worth it..." she paused "so, you going to tell me how? After all, you DID use water magic the other day." Alana stated.

"Er...I guess, sure." Emilia said. "I'll go get your book, so...I'll see you over by the dorms, alright?"

"Sure thing." Holly rose and set off towards the dorms, wet shoes squelching with each step. Fifteen minutes later she had changed her clothes, toweled her hair, and prepared herself for the upcoming meeting with Emilia. There was no reason to worry, she told herself. She had come through being assaulted by the nutty guy with the sunglasses without losing it and electrocuting him. She could handle one tutoring session.

"Sure thing." Holly rose and set off towards the dorms, wet shoes squelching with each step. Fifteen minutes later she had changed her clothes, toweled her hair, and prepared herself for the upcoming meeting with Emilia. There was no reason to worry, she told herself. Emilia headed to her dorm, and checked under her bed. She grabbed the book she was holding onto for Holly, and headed back outside.
...say, I brought a book for me to read, didn't I? ...wasn't there...idea, haha! She grinned to herself as she thought of checking the book she packed later on.

"Well, first of all, it's best to understand how magic exactly works. See, very few truly understand the origin of magic. Many seem to think that magic is coming from themselves. But, that's not exactly the case. See, everything in this world was created with mana. I"m sure that's nothing new. But, when the Goddess created the world, she also put in place many different spirits to help control the flow of the mana. When you're using magic, you're actually calling on those spirits and having them do stuff for you. But, to communicate with the spirits, and have them do stuff, you have to use your own life force; mana. Now, a normal person can not do this, because they would eventually use up all their life force and thus die. But, certain people are born with an ability to absorb the mana around them, and take it into themselves. The criteria for this I don't even know."

Rin took a short breath, "but, nevertheless, these people are then able to freely use mana to control the mana spirits and communicate with them. This is what results in 'magic'. Which is really just a restructuring of the mana flow. Even with understanding all of this, it's still quite difficult to pull off stuff. This is because of two factors. First, you have to build up your ability to pull mana from around you, which results in you not getting tired as often. Then, you have to increase your compatibility rate with the spirit/s."

Rin stopped for a moment, "oh yeah. I forgot to tell you how each of us are born with a certain compatibility towards a mana spirit. Thus our affinities for certain magics. Basically, spirits don't like certain people, and won't do their bidding no matter what. They're not slaves at all."

Rin took another breath, "so, with that out of the way. What you have to do, is practice your magic constantly to build up your ability to intake mana. And that also increases your affinity with the mana spirit/s. The more they like you, the more willing they will be to follow your bidding."

Rin took one last breath, "okay. History lesson's over. Now, to pull off water magic, you want to envision what you're trying to do. For this, try to imagine water gathering in the air, like water going into a cloud when it's about to rain. It might seem a bit strange, but this is what you want to do. It'll help a little that you know there are mana spirits now, so you understand that you're asking for a mana spirit to pull it off, rather than it being solely by your own will."

And with that, Rin dropped to the ground, sitting up against the doorway, still awake though. "Oh yeah, and you can't steal mana from people for some reason..."

Alana closed her eyes and took a deep breath, she started to remember what Holly said the first day, and combined it with what Rin said. Envision water being drawn into a cloud when it's about to rain

She envisioned herself in a field, it was quiet and motionless... all but above her, where clouds were forming. water going into a cloud before it rains, water going into a cloud before it rains. she kept repeating that same phrase in her mind. Soon after, the cloud she envisioned started to darken and fill up the sky, not too dark, it looked like that of a fall rain shower, a light gray with enough definition to show it has the potential to rain.

Alana thought to herself. Wait, how will I even use it? Do I just hold my hands out, point my finger like a gun? WHAT?

She opened her eyes and broke her concentration. "Err.. Rin, I kinda need a way to you know.. cast it." "As in do I just hold my hands out, aim my hand at the pot like a gun, or what?" she questioned sounding confused

Holly walked out of the dorm and spotted Emilia. She waved to her.

"Hey! Ready to get started?"

Emilia walked over to Holly, book in tow. "Yeah, but first thing's first. This belongs to you." She said, as she handed over the book. "Anyway...yeah, I'm ready!"

"Ah, sorry! I forgot. Think...like a maestro. You tell the spirit where to do what with what and stuff," Rin explained.
