Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention (Vita)

Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice is coming to PlayStation Vita, if a Yahoo! Japan article is to be believed. The article, which lists several newly-announced games (Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Digimon World Re: Digitze, etc.), mentioned a Disgaea 3: Return as a launch title for PlayStation Vita.

It’s since been edited to exclude the NIS strategy role-playing game, which originally released on PlayStation 3 in 2008. Here’s the original snippet of text:

It's obvious they're going to add Disgaea 4 characters on this port, like they added Disgaea 3 characters on the Disgaea 2 port.

Disgaea 4 will surely get ported to PS Vita, it has HD graphics and that's supposed to be hot.

the vita cant handle hd though...........even disgaea 3 the backgrounds will look slightly worse.

Considering it will allow people who can't afford a PS3, as pretty much everyone gets screwed over with PS3 prices outside of America, or is good for those who would either prefer their time-intensive SRPGs in handheld form, to play the game, it's not a bad thing, as no ill can come of more people playing Disgaea.

Though when do you ever stare at the backgrounds all that much? It's something you admire for a bit then just fail to pay much attention to. I bet the loss in quality between the PS2 and PSP games is hardly that noticeable unless you keep flipping between the two versions constantly, and it'll likely be a similar deal.

i agree here with stealth,i'm not too excited about this port. i think they shoulda have made something like makai wars...

i think that at this point in time nis/nisa should reinvent themselves with new titles that will appeal to their core audiences. because quite frankly,the disgaea franchise is getting old. at least for me

What does this have to do with the 3ds? I know the graphics arent good. Thats not what I bought it for
