I meant more along the lines of if the game doesn't sell enough to begin with, it's not going to warrant an enhanced edition of any sort, thus it's kind of pointless to wait, other than the drop in price.

its not pointless if you know exactly what games are etting enhanced

Like marvel vs capcom 3 for example. Anyone with a brain would of known that capcom was going to do that

Or even fallout new vegas. Once that last dlc piece comes out I bet there will be a goty this october ( the 1 year anniversary ) Its what bethesda has done with all there games

If no-one bought the game for whatever reason, they'd probably just abandon it, which would make the waiting part pointless.

or they would probably realize people asusme that they arent putting all the content on disk and that would teach companies to make a full game in the beginning

A full game? Really? You think that?
As it's a stupid way to think about things, as the game isn't any "less" without such things, it's only "more".
You also have to remember that while a game is being developed, it's nothing but a money-sink, so the longer they hold out, the more money goes down the drain, so it's not really in their best interests to hold off and release things as late as possible unless they have bottomless pockets (like say, Blizzard kinda do with World of Warcraft).

yeah I do when they are working on dlc as the game is being produced or even have the dlc on disk which is the case for 99 percent of games with dlc.

That's not also really true, and regardless of when it is, it's helping keeping games inflation-proof, as they've been at the same price for about 7 years now, so if that's what it takes to keep the prices down? I'm happy with it.
If you don't want the DLC, you don't have to buy it, and most DLC is being done properly nowadays and isn't ever integral to the core game, it just slots in as an extra.

Does it make it an incomplete game if you don't have it? Would the game be any worse if it never existed? I don't think so. :|

And in reality, disk dlc, in reality doesn't make a game incomplete, but hey, thats not the thing here

Seeing as an enhanced port is a game with ADDED content

So you guys want more cases like Neptunia, where it was pretty damn obvious Nisa and Gust and their equipment and events and everything were already on the disc and they forced you to pay to make them playable?

At least 5pb and Red were actually ADDED onto the game.

No, it's just that most of us have learned to live with it, seeing as this has been going on for years now...on disc dlc is here to stay, no reason to try and boycott it...but once again, this Disgaea 3 port doesn't have anything to do with on disc dlc, seeing as it is a port

If it stopped tomorrow I'd almost bet money on the fact that the standard price for games would go straight up. Then you lose out anyway. :|

Except characters from Disgaea 4 I wonder what the new content will be in the Disgaea 3 port... Almaz mode maybe?
