Disgaea 4 - Stealing guide *spoilers*

Hi all I just figured we could start a list of items of interest that people may not be aware of that can potentially and reliably get your hands on before complete end game farm sessions.

All these items can be found in legendary form if reset enough.

* Overlord cape - Prinny X/Zetta
* Prinny suit - Prinny X
* Testament - Laharl (not unique but easiest reliable way to get legendary version)
* Elder spear - Etna

Just for starters. I haven't had a chance to go to LoC or further yet

Crowbar (Rank 40 Monster weapon) - Pringer X: Poison
Makai Wars - Zetta, PX:P
Super Mechsuit (not unique to this fight, but it's easy to steal here) - PX:P

Couldnt think of anything else. Unless LoC PXP fight is different, I haven't tried it after getting royally owned by PXP x 8

* Elder spear - Etna

Elder Spear can't be unique. Check your Data Log, the dashes under Rare and Legendary mean it doesn't exist.

Elder Spear is Etna's personal spear and always comes in a normal rarity. She comes with one when she joins the party anyways.


The following can be stolen from post game bosses. LoC not necessary.

Laharl is fought with the R37 Sword, Claiomh Solais. He joins with an R31 sword, though. He Double Magichanges after the first turn so you have to steal his weapon immediately.

Asagi is fought with R36 Gun, Atomic Ray. She joins with, well, i dont' remember, but it wasn't that. due to the panel arrangement of timed no entry, it's practically impossible to get to her on the first turn before she double magichanges.

Pringer X: Roar is fought with an R39 Phys Monster weapon, Satan Force, an R40 Prinny Suit, and I believe an R35 Propel Vernier.

Zetta is fought with an R39 Yoshitsuna, an R40 Makai Wars, R39 Barefoot X, and R38 Overlord Cape. He joins with an R38 Aroundight and another Overlord Cape.

Pringer X: Poison is fought with an R40 Crowbar, R39 Arcadia, and R39 Super Alloy Mechsuit.

Hmm I'd be interested if anyone could add how to make an effective thief. Reading the posts abou t the thief beeing bad kinda starts to put me off from using the Thief this time >_>

So long as the Thief is the right level (Above = good), stealing shouldn't be a problem.

Always be sure to steal from behind aswell.

S = Stealer's Level
D = Direction; 1.0 for the Front, 1.1 for either Side, and 1.2 for the Back.
H = Hit of Hand

Being a Thief merely doubles the result of this.

HIT innocents..
But only if you've got them coming out of your nether regions.
Easily accomplished with the new duping trick.
