Is there a Save-Game icon salesman in Disgaea 4? I remember buying a bunch in D3. xD

There was... a Save-Game icon salesman in D3? o.O

I only ever had the base ones- Mao, Raspberyl, et cetera. You can actually buy more save game icons in game?

Yep, randomly find him in the Item World.

@Yajirobe: I haven't found one yet in Dis4, but you already have access to most of the save icons, so I doubt there will be one until there's more DLC available.

You can either kill them, or take them on your boat to double their level, but with the new duping trick, that doesn't really matter.

Does that mean they CAN pop up on earlier floors, and I should reset for them, or that I should just reset over and over on 100 only?

And which duping trick is this? That's... the other Disgaea standby I've gone years without even touching.

I definitely kept resetting on a common Testament floor 20 to get my Statistician, so yes, they can show up on floor 20. It's just more likely to show up on higher floors. Also, the higher rank of item you RP, the higher level the Stat will be.

The "normal" way of duping is using the Puppy Paw Stick to "steal" items from your character's Heart Constructs (Chara World) or make them vote against you in Senate. The more-exploity way of duping is the RosenQueen method, which is floating around this forum in its own topic somewhere.

The alternative is to level a bunch of legendary high-rank items and RP them, it'll take a few hours per stack but you can make 300 Stats that way too.

It all sounds pretty doable - though what is the Puppy Paw Stick exactly?

And on that note, I just unlocked an Evil Symbol called the "Nether Station" I believe. Apparently it lets me bring out characters in the item world or something?

Does this mean I can basically turn characters into portable base panels?

Puppy Paw Stick is a unique item you can receive from torturing Felynns or Slumber Cats. It's a fun-type axe; if you kill anything neutral or aggressive with it (normal attack, counters, skills, spells, anything goes), you have a 10% chance to steal a random item from each enemy killed.

Nether Express lets you create, like, a railroad between your base panel and somewhere in the Item World/Chara World. It's somewhat restrictive because you need to use a character in the Nether Express area to set the station, and there can't be any obstacles between the base panel and the station. But, once a station is set, characters can instantly warp to the station from the base panel. I haven't used it myself, since it's completely useless to me, so I'm not sure on the details beyond what others have described.

I dunno if it was patched, but I used it on Ordeal 4 to get behind the group of gargoyles to get top accuracy when my characters were about 40% chance of hitting them from the front.

Anyone found a website with all the available pirate parts?
I officially beat the last of the real item world pirates last night so now have to start hunting parts from captures.

Figured I have plenty of time on my hands now because I accidently spoke and agreed with the town "time traveler" not knowing what they did and started a new cycle :(. Couldn't revert my save cuz I just spent five hours hunting the meowkins lol

10% seems pretty... low, but I guess you can manipulate that somehow?

Nope its a Static value. Tutor etc won't affect it.
Also Cat Burglar can be found rarely on other items as well.

So the great method of duping is something that's stuck at 10%?

That's both impressive and baffling.

It's not so much "great" as it is "legit." If N1 wanted to take it out of the game, they could, but they instead nerfed the steal rate (it was around 20% in Disgaea 3, and it was easier to find Dropouts in Class World than it is to find Heart Constructs in Chara World or make your own senators vote "Nay").

If you want to dupe using the RosenQueen method, here's a link:

I figured I should ask this here to just incase, what exactly does the Item world radar do? Is it like the Wednesday Team in D3 where it makes more innocent towns appear or is it something else?

It makes events in general more frequent. Towns on their predefined levels (by 10s), Lvl spheres, mystery gates, purple panels, innocents randomly popping up on maps etc.
