It happens.

Speaking of Makai Kingdom, though, that'd be another one to try out - the whole concept of "military", but taken to more extremes (like Disgaea 3 with the school and all).

maybe it could be the adventures of a young seraph, or a story about laharls father

I just thought it was peculiar that there are so many netherworlds, but one celestia.
Though, considering the nature of demons... (Maybe it used to be one huge world that the demons just split apart because they wanted land of their own?)

It is implied there is more then one Celestia because of the Tera Heal spell which summons Seraph Summer (I think was her name), The reason for 1 Celestia is because N1 hasn't needed to make another Celestia yet. It could also be that Celestia is such a difficult place to get too that only one has been ever opened by demons.............twice.

... I'm not sure you can really base anything based on the art of a spell that has no baring on story, though.

@Seventh
IIRC, there was some sort of art book explaining that most of those spell characters are actual characters in the NISiverse, but I can't really think of anything to link that proves that.

I always assumed that this "Seraph Summers" was the previous Seraph.

Oh? Sounds pretty cool then.

Still, there's a lot of possible explanations. An older Seraph, even a NEWER Seraph - we can't be sure.

Here's a theme for you guys:

Adults. ... In that a large portion of the cast could be older, like Makai Kingom's.

That put a whole new spin on that game to me.

... Fair enough! I honestly can't think of Valvatorez as completely an ADULT per se (or Artina as completely a CHARACTER), but they definitely were older all around for the most part.

I suppose experienced might be a better word? I mean, as opposed to the ragtag bunch of D4, MK has a cast entirely consisting of Overlords who are already ridiculously powerful.

Val
Spoiler:
had a history as being a tyrant who was extremely powerful. He just lost his power because of that promise. Even then, outside his strange fascination with sardines, he definitely acts experienced. Albeit a bit naive at times.

Fenrich
Spoiler:
Probably is also experienced. From the beginning, it's seen that he's very conniving, and always thinking ahead.

Vulcanus
Spoiler:
Has seen the horrors of war first hand, and also has a fair amount of experience.

I really don't get where you see those three as not being experienced.

The rest of the cast, well, yeah, they're younguns.

Jeez, you're just nitpicking now. Uhhh... Successful then? -- Well, forget the word! The word is not important! The point is I don't think we've had a cast like Makai Kingdom's in a long time - mostly older, very experienced, all Overlords, the whole shebang. Plus, they didn't exactly get along or fight for any dramatic common goals, perhaps because they didn't join a party together in the main game, but rather, they just... hung out to kind of help Zetta out/screw with him while Zetta and his grunts ran around killing things.

To that end, maybe we just CAN'T have another game like that without having most of the cast not be involved. I dunno.

And Vulcanus can be whatever she wants, there still wasn't enough character there for it to... matter much, I'm afraid.

On the adult concept, this is what I want to see...older playable characters...characters that physically look (and not one of those 1000-year-old characters that look like they could be 20 or whatever) and act above, say, 30...40 even? I'm not saying that I expect for the whole cast to consist of older characters, but seriously, can we not have a few older, wiser, bad-ass demons/characters (like those that we saw in Makai Kingdom)?

Personally, I'd love to see more characters like Gio of Atelier Rorona...strong, wise, and powerful all rolled up in one. But I'm just weird like that...
