Probably not what you'd expect from me; save for a few of these which are blooming obvious, anyway... I will add a bit more information later when I am feeling better. Sinus infections... oh joy.

Titles:
1) Tales of Vesperia (360/PS3)
2) Chou Jigen Game Neptune Mk2
3) Paper Mario: The Thousand year Door
4) Final Fantasy XIII
5) Banjo-Kazooie
6) Banjo-Tooie
7) Age of Empires (1 and 2)
8) RollerCoaster Tycoon (1, 2 and 3)
9) Kingdom Hearts II

As I said, I'll add a fair bit more later, I don't mind questions though. Not like Have anything else to do today... or for the next few days. >_<

I thought the gist of the contribution would be the 9 games that influenced you the most, so aside from ranking which ones you liked the most, it would greatly reduce the list if you consider games that influenced you beyond just enjoying them.

Again, that's ranking something, so not going to go well. :D

I know how you feel. I can't rank for beans....

@Mizu: Massive Yay-ness!!! :D Kingdom Hearts~
And what's good about the Banjo games? I have them, but never played 'em.
@vampko: Can't wait for a new version of FF VII~ :) COME OUT ALREADY!!

I'll just name them since I don't feel like making an image thing. :P

Now I'm listing games I had the most fun with, not my favorites. But some games fall under both categories. In no particular order:

1. Ninja Gaiden 3 (NES). Now I loved the first two Ninja Gaiden games, but this is my favorite of the entire series including the new games. Why? Well because the gameplay just feels perfect. It makes you feel like a badass~ But it's still extremely difficult. Needless to say, I spent many hours on this game~

2. Street Fighter Alpha 2 (SNES). Easily my most played fighting game, and the first I ever played that had super moves.

3. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 (PS2). Got this game used with my first PS2, and played it for well over 100 hours competing with my brothers for high scores.

4. Chrono Trigger (SNES). Must have put over 150 hours into this game as a kid. I loved it so much~

5. Final Fantasy 7 (PS1). The first FF game I ever played. It was and is awesome and has made me a loyal fan of the franchise.

6. Metal Gear Solid (PS1). Originally played a demo of it and was blown away. Eventually got the actual game and have been a fan of the series ever since.

7. Romance of the Three Kingdoms 4 (SNES). Got this game in the early 2000's and loved it because it had created characters from someone who owned it before with awesome names~ Also was the first Romance of the Three Kingdoms game I ever played. And before I got any Dynasty Warriors games. So I had no clue who was supposed to be the famous characters. I thought Zhang Fei looked like a Santa type character!

8. Perfect Dark (N64). Had so much fun with this game~ Still haven't found a FPS that beat the gameplay of it.

9. Final Fantasy 8 (PS1) Had a lot of fun and it had a great story. It barely makes the list though.

That's my list. Might replace FF8 if I remember another game I had more fun playing. But for now that's it. :)

@MizuMikomi: Age of Empires! I cannot begin to number the hours spent on this one. Sure, there are games which have demanded mightier chunks of my life, but AoE is up there. Siege engines and mounted knights and longbowmen and Chu Ko Nus! Man. Generally, I'm averse to RTS, but there was something about AoE that was just damn fun.

@Prinapocalypse: Ninja Gaiden. >: That game. That game.

 I've still never been able to beat Ninja Gaiden 1(My brother can somehow beat it though). 2 was easy for me. 3, I loved the gameplay so much that I was able to eventually get good enough to beat it~

My dad got me into it at a very young age, same with RollerCoaster Tycoon. I can't begin to even count the hours I spent making a civilization and destroying my enemies. I loved dominating a map, and when I got my hands on Rise of Rome, oh Dear Lord...
Age of Empires II and III are fun if not just as addicting, but I don't think they amount to the fun I had with AoE itself.

I found a way to get it to install onto my VAIO, and I am considering playing it right now. Just takes... twenty minutes to find the disc, shouldn't be too hard, right?

Oh and just call me Mizu or Miz'. ^^

@Red- Banjo-Kazooie is a super addicting platformer that is one of the best fetch-quests released on the N64! I played it countless times, and Banjo-Tooie was just as good, they are by far two of my all time favorites. :3

I can't tell you how many times I tore through Banjo-Kazooie as a kid. I remember when I was limite don game time per day, I would spend my entire time playing thos games. Banjo-Kazooie I'd get all hte Music Notes, Jinjos, Jiggies and find all the secrets.

I have those games memorized front, back, and backwards.
I remember when I friend wanted me to play through the first level; Mumbo's mountain, with my eyes closed. I have that level memorized so well I can collect everything in ten minutes, if not faster.

There are lots of others I could have listed as well. But, limiting it to 9 made me have to choose whatever I thought of first mostly.

I made the grid thing, but it's too complicated to format it to be able to fit in here so I'll just make a list! These aren't in order of how much like them.

1. Disgaea 2 This was my first Disgaea game which is now my absolute favorite game series ever.
The characters were lovable; they had their flaws but it's impossible to love every speck of someone.
The gameplay like most Disgaea games--addicting. Level grinding isn't my favorite, but it's not as bad as 3 and 4 with the Felonies which I like better than the Statisticians. Also the weapon efficiency was better than 3 and 4 IMO.

2. Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life Similar to Disgaea 2, this game was the starter off for my love in the series as well. It's funny because I rented this game for the wrong reason! By looking at the cover, (that would've been in the picture) I thought it was an RPG where you use farming items as weapons. (Similar to Rune Factory now.) But then it turned out it wasn't and I fell in love with it anyways! Of all the Harvest Moon games I've played this one is by far my favorite. I liked the real time clock better than the "stops when indoors and goes up by ten minutes instead of one" clock they do in most.

3. Skies of Arcadia Legends One of the best games I've ever played. It lacked voices except for a few bits during battle and random quotes during scenes, but the amazingness of the game overshadows all that. This game had that mysterious "X-Factor" that you don't know how to explain, but you just love it. One of my biggest dreams is that they make a sequel or a remake with fully voiced scenes and the ability to play as the entire crew not just the six that are.

4. Suikoden 5 Seems strange that last main game of the series is the first one I played. It also got me addicted to the series. I am a playable character whore. I want a kajillion playable characters and the Suikoden series lets you recruit 106!!! Though they're not all playable, it's still fun going around collecting them. Also the characters and story in this game is amazing. I wasn't expecting the betrayals and backstabbing that made the game that much more amazing.

5. Eternal Sonata This game was simply beautiful! The gameplay was fun and a nice combination of turned based and live action. The story was interesting and relate-able to problems in society today. I feel the character development could've been extended more. (Like Viola's love interest was just too short for anyone to care.) But I still cared for all the characters as if they were my friends. Except Beat and Salsa. They annoyed me.

6. Okami One of the best games I've ever played on the PS2. I felt like my life ended when I beat it because I knew it was over. Good story and beautiful art. Amaterasu was such a lovable dog and she's the only reason why I want to buy Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

7. Tales of Symphonia The first game I've played of the Tales series and it's what got me addicted to this series as well. I've beaten this game like seven times. If I had a Gamecube controller I'd have played it even more. Loved the characters! (Another dream of mine is a combination of Disgaea and the Tales series.)

8. Pokemon: Crystal Version This wasn't the first Pokemon game I played! (That was Blue.) There's not much to say besides this was my favorite Pokemon game.

9. Crash Bandicoot This was one of the first games that got me into video games. Back when I was child, I wasn't able to play video games as freely as I am today and I didn't have the resources to know about what games came out and I didn't even know game stores existed so I only had what games my family had. This was one of them and it was amazing fun. Though Crash Bandicoot's fame died down over the years he'll always be my favorite Bandicoot.

I was Pajama Sam one year for Halloween. <3
The Humongous Entertainment games were my first games ever. I played them religiously.
I must have beaten all of the Pajama Sam ones 100 times each, no joke. I can run through them in minutes, the paths are engraved into my mind. They're amazing.

I can do pretty much the same, they're still pretty fun; even being eighteen now. "There's another sock!" is engraved into my mind. LOL

Oh Freddy Fish and the case of the missing Conch Shell "Could you show us the shimshamflimmityflamflappergapper that's in your bag?"

xD

@Larkybroages: 108 stars even! Two extras just because you like them! You've gained extra credit simply for putting Suikoden on your list. The games fill a place no other franchise can. Have you read the book? If not, I suggest it.

I couldn't finish Eternal Sonata, however. The monologues and childish dialogue just grew to be too much of a burden. It's too bad, because I really enjoyed the soundtrack, and I like tri-Crescendo as a developer.

@rasberrylicious: Clannad! As I said, I was debating adding this to my list. I probably should have replaced YsF with it just to have some VN representation in there. I, too, spent quite some time on Pajama Sam.
