Personally, DRM doesn't bother me. As long as I get to play my game. Just can't say I see the point of addressing it (which automatically paints it in a bad light) when you request the game to be on a service that is literally nothing but DRM with a storefront.

Aye, I remember going to a halloween party with my laptop, all set on playing Amnesia, and lo and behold, I get the message, "would you like to play this in offline mode?" I click 'YES'. And it says "Steam cannot do this."

I'm paraphrasing this of course. And I tested what would happen if I went into offline mode before losing the internet, and merely because I shut off my laptop after doing this, when I tried to play games in offline mode, it STILL wouldn't let me. You have to be online to go offline. That's just the biggest load of bullocks ever.

And THEN, every time I want to play something on my laptop/computer, I ALWAYS have to put in some new code. If it were only the first time I tried it on a different system I'd be fine with it, but that's just another round of bullocks.

I don't like Steam anymore. I used to be like the masses that think it's awesome because of the games it provides, but it's worse than the PS3 when it comes to DRM. By quite a bit.

I haven't checked out GamersGate yet, mainly cause I haven't found something I want to buy off it yet.

Gamersgate is a far better service than Steam. With actual customer support and no obligatory software(dev/pub DRM notwithstanding).

I don't know about that, but it's surely better than Origin


As for the DRM, yeah, it's there. But surprisingly, I've never had a problem with Valve/Steam DRM.
But with EA's notorious DRM..... not so much

I won't touch Origin. EA's already gotten me turned off from their company enough to not bother with buying their games.

Steam has DRM but it's better than SecuROM I think.

Personally I would prefer if Nyu-Media is able to get the developers to allow their games released DRM-Free. Then I can get it off GamersGate or wherever NM choose to release them.

Yep, they're pretty much the same screens. Though now that they're on Facebook they should have a bit more exposure hopefully.
