Poll: What keeps you playing Disgaea 4?

I'm curious, does the "See all specials" trophy include the DLC characters? I think at release it did require Fallen Angel Flonne's, but not sure if it was updated for HD Asagi, and now there's even more DLC.

I unplugged my Ethernet cord and finally got that trophy the other day, just in case it did get updated :X Getting Pringer X's Prinny Dash is a real pain in the ass >_<

Yeah I think they do, I was checking around player records one day and saw her specials that I used on the list. I'm actually figuring out which specials I haven't seen yet that prevents me from getting that trophy but I can't think of any character's special skills I missed out seeing

Where in the list is it? I can check which ones they are. Did you get the weird boss ones, like from Des-X and Nemo?

I only played for the story. I haven't really touched post-game. My strongest character is Desco at level 600s or so. Haven't played ever since. Played a total of 68 hours.

I got Nemo's skill on the list and I'm assuming I gotten Des-X's skills on there too since it's the exact same as Desco's but these are the ones I'm missing in the respective spots:

Those are the only 3 skills I'm missing

You're definitely missing both of Des-X's skills. They are the same as Desco's, but they are given unique spots in the skill list.

You're also missing Prinny Rush from Pringer X, lol. That one is pretty annoying to get, since he pretty much never uses it.

I honestly thought I'd spend more time playing this game than I actually did. At some point, while character grinding in Chara World I stopped and sorta had an epiphany. "I'm not having fun."

So, I just stopped.

I thought about it, and I guess it's the overall homogenization of the characters and the ridiculous caps that finally burned me out.

I'm mean, at some point the complete lack of challenge trumps the "big numbers for the sake of big numbers", especially when I've done it all before in three previous games.

Not to mention that a few of my favorite classes are DLC exclusives and I'm off the DLC wagon, on principal.

So far i've stopped playing because I got bored and other game's caught my interest. I'll probably play again once Main Hero B comes out so I can make my maxed out Paladin again. Also after I beat the games i'm getting for Christmas so it may be awhile cause I'm getting HDN, AT 1-2, 3DS, Ocarina of Time, Fable 3, and Viva Pinata TIP.

So mysterious! I hear people in Not-America speak languages other than English, but that's so far-fetched it couldn't possibly be true. Not quite as ridiculous as using the Metric system or driving on the left side of the road though. Cups & pounds > liters & grams!

Also, waiting for a few DLCs to be released, not very fond of many, except Adell and Rozalin were top on my "Get" list, which ended up being first anyways. lol Among other things, I never actually got far to the LoC on any Disgaea game (except D2: DHD). I love that they actually had Visual Sensation track in it! I use it for my item world bgm

I like strengthing my characters, but somehow it seems like a chore in D4. Not so bad in D2-D3 though thanks to Cave of Ordeals and the Rotten Grudge level on D3.

I am actually stopping and waiting for DLC now. Once all of the DLC is out I am going to play through the game again and start over completely.

I still haven't unlocked Androids yet because I'm still on my first cycle, I did all the post-game material aside from Land of Carnage, I'm waiting until I do that so my next playthrough of the game can be quick.

So right now strengthening characters and getting stuff to get into Land of Carnage is my goal.
