Not ever going to happen.

Nomura remade Chain of Memories because he felt it wasn't up to par for the series standard, saying he prefers 3D visuals. Which is why Re:Chain of Memories was made for the PS2.

Watched the trailer, watching again, and again, and again.
Just going to say... I don't care if the release window is supposed to be SMALL, I am going to import a 3DS AND THIS GAME. Holy ****, HOLY ****!

The CG looks amazing, the gameplay is epic! The story! I... MY MIND IS BLOWN.
There are NO other words to describe how EPIC THAT WAS, the dive portions, the... GAH! EVERYTHING, JUST YES, YES, AND YES!!!!

Of course it could happen. He could of very well put tweny on any system. Hell he didnt even have to use sprites on the ds.

In case you didnt get it

This is so so so so so so so so so so AWESOME!

Holy crap, I haven't been this hyped since I first found Neptune was coming to the US! And this is Kingdom Hearts related, so the hype just multiples one hundred fold!!

Gah, I want this game, only 103 days left... yes I did calculate it. Yes I am obsessed. No I am not ashamed to be obsessed over Kingdom Hearts.

Also I declare that anyone who calls Dream Drop Distance a 'spin off', should be shot by a firing squad, dragged behind a semi truck, and burned at the stake! There is NO WAY, anyone could say this is a spin off, absolutely no way.

I am almost willing to say this is like a prologue or part 1 of Kingdom Hearts III. This is DEFINITELY the Kingdom Hearts game I've been waiting for.

Just... wow, the way the CG was shown is BEAUTIFUL. That pop up book, all the flashbacks, the foreshadowing! Bah, I want it, I want it, I WANT IT. T_T

Then specify what you are talking about from the beginning, and don't get so pissy when someone misunderstands you. Seriously "Sprite sequel please" without a quote, or reference to TWEWY in the post is not much to go by. <_<

I can't remember the last time I was that much excited. Maybe Pringles would remember for me, maybe it's been so long ago that he wasn't even around. It could be related to Umineko, though. Anyway, I'm glad to see you're that much excited about this game to the point of importing a JP 3DS.

I could see that ~ =P

I had actually had the idea a while back, but this trailer confirmed it.
I just.... wow.... if they can do THIS on the 3DS, what on earth can they do on the Vita and PS3? This makes me hyped for more entries in the series, I mean you saw it! That was insane!

And the Dive parts looks so reminiscent of gummi missions, the Tron world looked epic, I mean seriously. It just looked so much more accurate than Space Paranoids in Kingdom Hearts II. >3<

I think the misunderstanding is my fault. I brought up the models for TWEWY in my post before stealth's post.

I do believe in an interview that Nomura has said this game will be (like) a prologue to KH3.

I'd advise you to get the 3DS earlier, then you'd be prepared for the game (instead of buying both together, but maybe you could also save some money with the shipping).

Which is why I brought it up. He said that Dream Drop Distance's ending will lead right into the plot for Kingdom hearts III. That this game would be the groundwork for the gameplay mechanics and plot for Kingdom Hearts III.

That's pretty much what I planned on doing, but first things first we've got to move so I can get a job so I can afford both the 3DS and Dream Drop Distance.

And if I am lucky... maybe between the next few months Nintendo will release that supposed purple 3DS in Japan. If they did that... it would be an instant purchase, not even joking ~

I was just like, watching the trailer.
Wasn't going to get my hopes up for it like the past 3 KH games. It'll end in disappointment.
Eww. It uses the same command system as BBS and Coded...
THEN THE STORYBOOK SCENE. HOLY FUCK.
I almost dove through my chair when that happened. It was...so sexy. So nostalgic. OH MY GOD. I'm getting a 3DS right now. Hollllllyyyyy shitttt.
Spoiler:
And then Terranort or w/e. Totally wasn't expecting that. ^^

I hope you get used to the command deck, since Nomura has stated it will evolve with each game. The likelihood of it appearing in Kingdom Hearts III is very high.

Which isn't a bad thing in my opinion.
As long as we get an MP bar, have Sora's normal attack abilities, and then have the command gauge for special attacks, or Sleights as they were called. Then I think it will be just fine.

Only thing I hate about it is the lack of an MP bar, which I doubt will hold true in KH3. The magic in the console games is so much more useful that having it's own bar is pretty much a necessity.

Looks like I'll get used to it. :p

In all honesty, my main gripe with BBS was the command deck. It just didn't work for me. Reloading took too long during intense battles, cycling through it to get to Cure spells could cost you your life, etc. I tried to use it sparingly, and just attack instead. Which made the game unbearably boring. I do think it improved from BBS to Coded, though.

BBS was overall a disappointment to me. It was hyped up for years, and when it came...eugh. Way too repetitive, graphics, while good, were honestly worse than expected, and dat story. It was interesting, but it felt like it tried to cram the important stuff all into one place while you're stuck wondering 98% of the game. All it did was open up too many mysteries that could have been a lot more spread out. When the graphics, story, gameplay, and repetitiveness are issues, it's a problem. >_> Not another BBS, plz? Kthxguise.

I played in Japanese first, how do you think I felt? =P

But I got used to it over time, always had good movement commands rather than stacking my deck with Curaga's and the like. Restore Barrier, or Cure Block really do work ~

Most of the time I used the keyblade anyway, but that's what I do in KH. Unless something calls for a special commend or attack, I stick to normal attacks. I do like the command deck, but I want to see all of it come together and make a battle system that just works.

MP for magic.
Command deck for sleights.
Shot locks; but tweaked and balanced.
And of course, Sora's original abilities. Slapshot, quickstep, and the like.

They throw all that in, plus a dynamic leveling system... shit man, I wouldn't know what to do. xD
