Will Mk2 suffer from some of the same issues 1 did?

Postby Pichu0102 » Sat Jan 07, 2012 7:50 pm

I know a lot of things bugged me in the first game like a very poor framerate, skip battle animations wasn't an option, Hi-Five Radio has a very long period of dead air of nothing happening before the text auto-advances, Auto read mode is broken, etc... Will most of these issues be fixed in mk2, or at least in a patch?
It would also be nice to see a DLC package that contains all DLC instead of having to navigate through PSN's laggy store to get all the DLC quests taking a nice ten minutes to add things to the cart.
Also, am I right in thinking the first used the same engine as TriUni?

You can skip the battle animations in Neptunia, you have to hold a button down though.

You can mass skip enemy animations but have to tap the skip button for each friendly unit action.

Mk2 doesn't have the same problems as the first game had. The only problem, imo, is probably the load times, but they aren't that long.

Framerate: I've got nothing.
Battle animations: Skippable by pressing a button... Multiple times... If you're going for the S rank trophy.
Hi-Five Radio: Dead air indeed... Unless you put the voice in japanese... Then it makes more sense.
Auto read: I've got nothing.
etc.: crashing when finishing a level while signed on to PSN... That's about the only others I've encountered that are problematic.

Most of these problems are likely fixed in Mk2. Anyone here have the Japanese version to confirm it?

Bundle DLC: Request it somewhere else in the forum... That sounded douchey.
TriUni engine: If you're talking about the enemy design and the way the battles are panned out, then yeah... Tis be your own opinion anyway.

I could have sworn I had seen the same dungeons and treasure markers on the map that were in TriUni.

I think this is an issue with the PSN code though. I noticed this very same bug happens on several games when they try to connect to PSN and fail for some reason.

The only real issues in mk2 are some Colosseum matches being buged(i think) and Uni crashing the game. They never patched it in the JP version so I have no idea if NIS did we can hope so though... I don't recall bumping into any other bugs. Framerate wise its usually okay there is some slowdown here and there but nothing overly bad.

Yes it is the same engine that TriUni, Neptune, Rorona, Totori, Meruru and AT3 run . . . .

Wait, does that mean you can't play as Uni?

It's one specific attack that does it and it doesn't seem to happen always.

It's one attack but its in all of her combos I think. . . but skipping battle animations gets around it.

Weren't you the only one that kept somehow running into that crash every single time? Or am I thinking on somebody else?

It may have been me, I use Uni a lot... She always crashes my game at the worst times too...

You might be referring to me sik, as I mentioned the game froze 5 times for me, while using that attack.
