best anime 2011

Overall if it's the story and art I vote Stien's;Gate. Awesome storyline about time traveling, great characters and hell yeah! HUKE the artist of Black Rock Shooter did the artwork.

Btw there is an unaired episode in the coming DVD.

I really wish the Steins;Gate game would get licensed.

That would be my list. Not in any order. I think that's a pretty accurate list. It was really hard to make decisions, but I am pretty satisfied with this list.

The best? Well, since it started airing Gintama has been the best anime every year for me. I'm surprised that so many people out and out ignore what to me is without a single doubt the funniest anime I have ever seen.

Everybody knows about Steins;Gate already.

Natsume Yuujinchou is also good since it began airing, but I'm not sure when S3 ended and 4 began, so I don't remember if it was on in 2011. But hey, NISA is bringing it over, and I will buy every season they put out of it without fail. At times its very relaxing. At times its very endearing, and even thrilling too.

How so? Most of the episodes are either self-contained or 2 parters with not too much bearing on the overall story. Thats not to say there aren't the more dramatic/actiony arcs (which are also incredible). But I'd compare watching the usual Gintama episode to playing Totori without having played Rorona. I'd suggest watching it all in order, but its not absolutely necessary.

And its one of those great shows that, imo, you can watch over and over. I don't think its ever failed to get make me laugh, get emotionally invested, or get excited.

I'd go so far as to say its the only show out of the top 3 on Crunchy Roll that actually deserves that high a rating.

Yet, I am the person who would absolutely feel cheated if I had played Totori before Rorona.

I am NOT going to just watch a show 100 episodes in.

If I'm going to watch a show, it's from start to current.

And that's just too many episodes to catch up on.

If I didn't have classes then maybe I could, but that time has passed. I did get QUITE a bit watching/catch up in during that time period though.

It's more like, a choice between watching a 12-episode anime, and watching a 200-episode anime. If you like to know the entire story, the 12-epper is just less daunting, and you feel like you get somewhere by watching 2 episodes. If you watch 2 episodes of Gintama, you still have over 100 more episodes to watch. Some people don't mind that, but some people feel that, once they get invested, it bothers them to not be finished, so they would rather never start. It's just a matter of philosophy and personal preference.

Been trying to get my friend to watch Bleach, so I understand the thought process even cutting out the filler, it's like 200 episodes, and the longer he waits, the more episodes are released, which makes him even more intimidated >_> He's the kind of person who goes "This show has too many words and not enough awesome. Let's do something else." In other words, he's the target Bleach audience ;o
