Come to think of it, I think Rorona was the reason I joined up back in 2010, but back then I simply didn't care for this place until back awhile ago (like in August or July).

Haha, yeah I cry way to often when I play games like the Atelier games. I think Atelier games gain power in their narrative by focusing on a few people and their lives. That soft cuteness really lets you empathize and bond with the characters deeply...When I'm saving the world in a game I really don't feel for the world, but when I'm focused on comparatively trivial problems of a single life it affects me so much I sometimes have to take a break.

Maybe I should take a break from my replay of Totori, I'm getting all teary over someone getting teary over a game trailer.

Bro, you summed everything I love about this series, and the manga/anime series Aria.

Yes Aria is a great one, Hidamari Sketch is a good one too if you haven't seen it. It's very artsy to boot.

Also I'm glad someone understands the joy and sorrow that I have with these games. GUST really is one of the masters of the subtle story.

I'm unsure about Hidamari Sketch, but I've heard good things about it so I'll give it a shot based on what you said.

Series like Aria and Atelier Arland just have this charm and subtlety that makes you care about the characters as they live through their day to day live. I got so teary eyed at the end of Rorona

when Astrid was leaving and Rorona was about to cry, because it was at that moment where anyone could clearly see that Astrid was more then just Rorona's alchemy master to her. I mean, they lived together for years right. Damn I'm getting teary eyed just remembering it.
