for anyone who plays the umineko fighting game and has the expansion for umineko cross just wanted to update that they have released version 2.10 with will now as a playable character ^^ http://07th-expansion.net/cross/Main.htm

would a kickstarter and NIS using the witchhunt's translation be enough to possible get NIS to release this?

Nope. There are too many variables in using Kickstarter to fund a localization that way. It's not really a feasible approach.

time to resurrect this thread and with some really great news

The umineko manga is being officially localized in America!!!! this is a great thing for us cause it adds a lot of potential to localizing the ps3 games i wonder who the ultimate localization company will be that picks up the game first cause the series is only gonna get bigger once the manga gets out!!

Well that's cool that they're releasing the manga over here for Umineko. Since they are doing that, that's kind of an indicator I believe that they are aware there's a fan base for Umineko over here. So it does get my hopes up!
