Hell yeah! I wonder if ACIII will focus on Desmond only in the current timeline?

That's what I wonder, do we finally get to play fully as Desmond cause there doesn't seem to be a point to introducing another ancestor if it's going to be the finale of the Desmond story arc, and can save the new assassin for the new story arc/games.

A new assassin? hrrm I thought it was going to/should be all about Desmond.

Ubisoft stated they would never have a game with just Desmond, because that's not how the game's formula works.

Also uber pumped for American Revolution era, it will be a nice change of pace.

So therefore you're not willing to wait, see what the opinion on the next game is like that changes the setting from the time period they were kinda overdoing by that point, then make a judgement I take it?

If you just don't like the general gameplay to begin with, then you having an issue with them 'milking' it is rather irrelevant I'd say, as you were never going to like it in the first place.

I was really looking forward to the last one but it was the worst of the series

I don't anyone disagrees with you there.
I hear it mostly just fell victim to feature creep, as they kept adding more stuff in, to the point where it wasn't needed and it made the game even easier.
Having a proper sequel allows them to wipe the slate clean again, so it hopefully should avoid the previous problems.
