Kagura walks to the Garden and looks around to see a character who might look like an "August."
"I really don't know who that is," Kagura thought.

"He's probably in class...unlike us." Drea said as she began to climb on a nearby tree.

"STAY BACK!!!!" Rin formed a barrel sized fireball and let it off straight at the dog, breathing heavily and her eyes wide as saucers, her heart beating faster than a drum solo.

August had to time this perfectly. As the dog vanished from the fireball explosion, he quickly Summoned another one identical to the first and give it the same orders. This time, the dog had a cloud of smoke shielding him from view. August grinned maniacally with wide eyes.

Ciel smacked him on the the back of his head with a reinforced fist, and said with a stern tone, "Stop It."

Alice didn't want to watch that fight anymore. Not only she wasn't fond of dogs, having fireballs fly next to her wasn't exactly fun, either. She decided to step up and stop that fight. "You two, STOP! If you guys want to fight, do it elsewhere!" she turned to August, with an angry look on her face "August, stop summoning dogs! You know Rin has a problem with them, that's really mean of you!" then, she turned to Rin, the angry look still there "Rin, don't throw fireballs around like that! You could hurt someone! Now be good kids and stop this at once!" she sounded really weird saying that last sentence, and it took seconds for her to realize it. She took a deep breath and relaxed.

Rin calmed down slightly, but the fireball was still going, and was about to hit the wall. If that hits...the entire room will be taken out....I can't stop it....I'll probably be okay but...everyone else!? Her eyes widened further as the massive thing got closer to a wall.

Colors flashed in front of August's eyes at the impact of the blow... He was seeing stars. He swayed on the spot.

"Ciel, the reinforcement was a bit... too much. Relax. I was just kidding around. I didn't order the dog to attack at all. I wasn't really serious about dueling. Just having a bit of fun."

He turned to Alice and said apologetically, "Alice, I didn't really mean it."

He Banished the dog.

But that damn fireball! If this manages to hit, the room will be demo--!

Suddenly, August felt a great deal of pain.

"AARRGGHH!"

An aura pulsated around August and from the confines of his very soul, Leviathan made an appearance!



August slumped to the ground, and without a word to any of them, Leviathan launched a small Tsunami at the fireball, putting it almost instantly.

"Greetings, Augustus Vakarian. My name is Leviathan."

August looked up, unable to speak for the moment.

"Phew..." Rin slumped to the ground out of exhaustion, but pulled herself back up and bowed, "sorry everyone..."

"I-I'm sorry, Leviathan. I've been left in a really w-weak state so conversation will b-be limited. Thank you for saving us. I am indebted to you."

"It is of no concern, August. You are an expert Summoner. I decided to come to you in your time of need, and here I am. Should you need my services again, you may call me whenever you wish, as long as it's within reason. But if you do Summon me, try to do it near water, eh? This arid classroom air does not bode well for my scales," Leviathan explained with a slight chuckle.

"It is getting late. I really should be going now. Farewell, August. May we see each other again."

Leviathan faded, and August noticed a slight increase in his strength again. He sat up. "I really wanted to apologize. To all of you. What I thought would be fun turned out to be almost be a disaster. I hope you can forgive me," he said, particularly to Rin and Alice.

Alice couldn't accept August's apology completely. He knew what was going on, and yet he kept foward with it. However, it was obvious she would forgive him in time, since he apologize sincerely for it. With a serious look in her face, Alice decided to speak. "Fine... just don't do it again. I'm sorry, but I'll have to excuse myself for now." she said to everyone in the classroom, and then walked out of that place. The hallways felt silent and lonely, but it was only a matter of time until she reached her room.

Ciel chuckled with a smirk, "'Too Much' for you just means 'Just Right' for Me". He sighed, at hearing August was 'kidding around'. " 'It's no fun to play with someone's fears' That's what my master would have said", he then turned to Rin, and smirked "Don't get me wrong Cat Girl, If it was amusing to watch that sight earlier" he gave another sigh, his smirk turning into a frown, "I was simply doing what my master would have done if his hands weren't occupied at the time" he said eyeing Richter and the Bear struggling in the standstill "He would have surely given me hell If I hadn't intervened" he said rubbing the back of his neck.

"Just...never summon one of those things...ever..." Rin responded, obviously not very trusting of the young man.She then turned towards Ciel, "you are a real tsundere," she laughed a weak laugh, and slowly made her way to a desk.

August was dumbstruck. He didn't know what to say, and all he had the strength for was to watch Alice leave the room, going God-knows-where. He felt a small twinge in his heart, and decided to attempt to get up.

"If you don't mind, Fort... I need to go... lie down. Thanks for the jar lesson. It helped with timing my skills. Again, I'm sorry Rin."

He shuffled past the people in the classroom and left, letting his feet decide where to go. He hardly paid attention to where he was going.

This was a disaster. We didn't get hurt from a fireball explosion, but I might as well have anyway.

Au..gust... let me... out... you know... you want... to...

SHUT UP! I won't listen to anything you say. I have to calm down, but why is it so damn difficult?!

It wasn't before long until he reached his dorm. Opening the door with the key in his pocket, he walked in and locked the door behind him. He sat down in the recliner, and stared outside.

Still daytime... ah, screw it. I'm tired.

He got up and collapsed on the bed, exhaustion washing over him.

Ciel looked at her, wide eyed, astonished by what she said. But without saying a word, he silently walked towards the spot where he had been standing. But he stopped abruptly, and muttered, "So you're afraid of dogs huh?" he turned his head, and looked over his shoulder, smirking at her, as he said "That's some useful information..." He then continued, and rested against the wall, cross armed, his attention again focused to the fight Richter was in, and chuckled to himself. Planning.

Calling him Tsundere would imply that he has these things called "feelings". Which is why he was ticked off at her statement.

"Whoever the hell wrote this..." Emilia muttered to herself, "...obviously has no clue that I don't respond well to orders..." she continued. ...it seems like the only obvious way to advance in this world is to abandon all logic and act like a goddamn idiot! ...whatever, breaking logic to move forward... nothing new to me, right? She smirked. "So, Naomi. It's opposite day in your world, isn't it?" she laughed as she tried to aim the cannon. What in the hell do we have here? ...same faceless soldiers... but somethings different. Why the hell are there men now!? ...men...labcoats...Holly called them test-tube babies or something...this doesn't look good... and...how in the hell am I going to light this? She looked around for a way to fire it, and eventually managed. She fired the cannon. This is how you want me to progress, right?

As you expected, the cannon fires just fine. The explosive boom catches many by surprise as it rockets its projectile towards the ground. Upon hitting the center of the lab-men's ranks, the cannonball explodes, doing considerable damage to the army.
Around this time, you notice that identical notes are now attached to the other three cannons...


--- [Leyka POV] ---

You find yourself in a cavern. There are few paths, but the one ahead is most inviting with its warm glow.

"There's no time to think about this stuff," Leyka immediately takes the path ahead.

After a short time, you realize that this path wasn't quite so inviting. The glow source is unknown, but there are clearly sickly illuminated chains hanging from the ceiling. The soft green light beckons, and you arrive at a slightly larger 'room'. There, in the middle, is what appears to be Naomi herself with one exception, she appears to be only 10 or 11 years old. She hangs from the ceiling by several chains that are wrapped around her arms, and she is wearing nothing more than a blindfold around her eyes and a gag that hangs about her neck. Her long hair partially shields her decency, and it has managed to avoid getting tangled in the chains for now. She does not appear to be struggling, but she does seem to be awake.
"Who's there...? I-I warn you- there's a barrier around me. If you try to touch me, y-you'll be trapped... forever..."

Sure enough, there does seem to be a sphere of bent light that surrounds her... but an image of Mu flashes in your mind...

Dr. Sophismata looked about, "Hmm, I see that Cero is keeping himself as busy as ever. Oh ho........ good for him."

"Maia, please continue; the sooner I see Cero, the better for all of us."

(skipping some layout due to insufficient memory)

Maia stood next to the door to the office that she had just led Athena to.
"Master Cero awaits you inside. I am sure that he will be glad of your presence."

...one day, this bitch tries to kill me. The next, she makes me fight her wars for her? To hell with it! The sooner we save her... the sooner we get out... the sooner I can find Leyka. Time to make some noise. Emilia made a mad dash for each of the cannons with the notes, firing each one as she got to it, then quickly running to the next, until she fired the last one that had a note on it. She smirked, admiring the havok she was causing.
