Yeah, I still wouldn't discard PS3. Actually looking at the images again, and they don't look really bad with that level of detail (besides they may not necessarily be the most detailed models). Consider my resolution is 1024×768, which is somewhat similar to 720p in terms of pixel size.

It may be an issue for close-ups, but then again, it wouldn't be the first game to purposefully use lower detail meshes in an attempt to give a simplified look.

Agreed. Could definitely see that. Though with finished models this early I'd love it if they were hidden in-game. Wishful thinking but you never know.

Not likely, Compile Heart has teased that the Noire Style blog is for a new project.

Infinite Souls isn't 'new' in relation to the Noire Style overhaul of the blog, so any relation there may be between IS and these models, is more or less grasping at straws.

HN3 or spinoff portable release would be suicide from the series console fanbase. It's atotally waste of money to invest in making a HN game on VIta or 3DS. It's already niche enough as it is on console, how would they expect to make decent money from portables, when the core fanbase own PS3? Not everyone is so crazy as to waste money on a Vita/3DS in the first place. And the series isn't like it's as popular as Megaman or Metroid franchise. I dunno what those chibis mean, but if the next HN is a console platformer, that style would be pretty fitting. but if its for a portable.... grrrrr I so hate it when developers jump ship from console to portable. I'm sure Senran Kagura would KILL to be released on PS3, but chose 3DS since it's easier to program for and they don't have developers experienced with PS3 programming or the budget to hire more experienced staff. but CH and IF are greatly experienced with PS3. Making a HN for portable isn't going to make as much sales.

After playing RE:Revelations and just look at kh3D, I doubt with some effort itd look bad at all.

3DS really wouldn't be that bad. I admit that the only real 3D game I've played on it is DoA:D but it runs beautifully on there. Besides, I could see them throwing in some AR cards for a 3DS version so you could have Nep, Noire and Vert running around your desk. :3

Only now we got info, so no need to go through all 35 pages either. Besides there's a dupe topic regarding exclusively this.

Also note that the only reason to suspect it's a handheld title is that the models look lo-poly, nothing else. We have absolutely no idea about what platform it could be on if you exclude that bit of speculation.
