But those games had physical UMD releases, too. My point was that PSN sales would be better if there was no UMD available; I've never purchased a game off PSN, but if a game I wanted was released as PSN-only I'd definitely get it. Also, the PSVita was just released in the US, so it's too early to say how many more PSP games are going to sell off PSN (lots of people who never had a PSP may be gettiing for games they missed out on, especially since the current Vita library is so limited). I suspect that quite a few fans who want Wayfarer of Time but don't have a PSP will decide to buy a VIta so they can download it and still have a new system.

It hasn't happened. Hell atlus wont even localize sequels sometimes in the same series theyve localized in before
True, Atlus hasn't done that, but that could simply be because most of their series have direct sequels so it would be really stupid to localize a direct sequel to a game that hasn't been localized yet. But there's a first time for everything and since Wayfarer of Time is a different universe from Growlanser I with a standalone story, the order of release wouldn't matter though.
Presumably, the reason Atlus didn't localize sequels to games they've localized (i.e., Luminous Arc 3) is because previous installments didn't sell very well. My whole argument is that they'd only consider releasing Grow I PSP
if Wayfarer of time has exceptional sales. Again, not arguing that this is likely, just not impossible.
