"I'm gonna... hah... get'cha-nya..." the catgirl gasped as she crawled towards Nero's makeshift toy. She'd finally caught up with it, and happily bit into it, when a foot came down and rested on her head. "Nyaaaa! You tricked me!" the catgirl complained as Nero looked down, her gaze careful and calculating. Truthfully, she didn't have much more energy than the demon did, after all the playing they'd undergone. "You're... mine now." Nero said, trying to catch her breath. Instead of drawing her gun, though, she bent down and began to tickle the catgirl.

"Nya! Nyahahahahahaha! St-stop, nya~" the catgirl yelled, convulsing with laughter under Nero's relentless assault. "I-I can't take this any longer, nya~ Please!" Nero simply smiled. She could stop right away, or she could keep going for just a bit longer in order to make sure the catgirl knew who was boss... or she could keep going and use up what little remained of the catgirl's energy and subjugate her completely. Hmm...

(Nero is an exceedingly neutral person, and as such is unwilling to drift too far to one side. If a significantly greater number of choices have been made to one side, Nero may rebel and do the opposite instead! Which choices are important enough to vote where you want...?)

Nero looked down towards the catgirl as she begged for mercy. A part of her wanted to go ahead and give in... but another part of her whispered that she was being far too soft. She'd been nice enough this entire time, but she hadn't been created solely for the purpose of being nice. There was simply too much at stake for that, and she had to be able to do what was necessary instead of going all soft-hearted on everyone. And so, as the catgirl squirmed, Nero just looked down at her. "Not yet." she said, continuing her tickle assault as her hands moved up and down the catgirl's body, searching out her most vulnerable spots. Locations such as the bottom of her feet, for one, as she steadily drained the demon's energy and brought her down to a level she could handle.

Despite the catgirl's cries, there was no mercy whatsoever from Nero. Not for ten entire minutes of the most terrifying tickle attack in the catgirl's entire life. By the end of it, she was simply lying on the floor, as white as a ghost... and Nero smiled in deep, deep satisfaction. "If you'd like to be free..." she whispered into the demon's ear, "Press your thumb here." she slid a piece of paper under the catgirl's hand. Unable to even think of the consequences, the catgirl pressed her thumb against it. A bright flash shot out of the paper as the working was complete.

"Wha...?" the catgirl tried to ask. Nero simply smiled and held the paper up triumphantly. "It's something you demons have done for a long time." she said, far too pleased with herself considering what she'd just done. "It's a contract where you just sold your soul to me, so now you have to obey me and help me out." It was one of the things her creators had left behind for her; a set of contracts she could use on demons in order to compel them to help her. "Don't worry, though. As long as you're good, I won't tickle you again. Well, not as much, anyway..." she smiled slightly, then took one of the fish from the catgirl's fire and held it tantalizingly under the catgirl's nose. A small, pink tongue flicked out and licked the fish a few times as the catgirl slowly collected her wits again. Then, slowly, she began to eat.

She was still capable of being harsh, Nero noted with a satisfied nod, but that didn't mean she wasn't still going to be nice to her companions. After all, if they ever somehow got free of the contracts, she didn't want them coming after her for some kind of revenge... right? How should she treat a demon right now, anyway?

A nice person? Strange comment, coming from somebody who had just endured one of the worst tickling assaults in the history of humanity... Nero smiled at the hug (weak though it was), though, and put one finger under the girl's chin as she glanced at the contract where the catgirl's name had appeared. Convenient, that. "Nyerrith... is it?" she asked the demon she'd just bound to herself. "Well, Nyerrith, I'm afraid we can't be friends, not in a relationship like this." As the catgirl's expression began to fall, Nero continued, "I'm your owner, you see. But if you're a very good girl, I might just give you something a whole lot better than fish once you've earned it." Nero smirked slightly as she pulled away from the catgirl, who looked like she was having a hard time figuring out exactly how to respond to that little comment. The expression, Nero thought, was quite priceless.

Still, Nyerrith had barely begun to recover her energy after that incredibly intensive bout of play. The fish was undoubtedly helping, but neither of them was really in shape to head out again, which meant that the best course of action was probably going to be taking a rest here, at Nyerrith's little camp, until they were ready to go. But that left the little problem of guard duty...
