Hello! Thought I'll go ahead and share this since I wasn't basically doing anything at this moment. Truth be told, I got tired of the default screens on the PSVita and I really don't like downloading other people works as they usually don't suit my taste when customizing stuff on my portable systems. So with that said, I decided to make my own wallpapers as an experiment for my college class in "Color Theory for the Web & Multimedia". I emphasized on the color aspects of my wallpapers more than on design for these are rather simplistic at best. Let me know what you think and I'll try my best to make some others, if possible.

In regards to the native size of the PSVita, yes, all of the wallpapers are made to fit the screensize of the system. If NIS decides to add some .MK2 vectors on their site, I would go ahead and start on some new designs for them as well. I'll keep searching around for new material to use.

No, just the resolution, which means that tiny screen has that amount of pixels (?) in it.

I guess using "pixels" to describe it doesn't make sense, since the Vita probably uses a different measurement for it's screen, since the resolution uses images that large.. .

The Vita's screen resolution is exactly double that of the PSP (so scaling up PSP games won't look ugly as PSP pixels will be exactly 2×2 Vita pixels).

EDIT: also it isn't much larger than iPhone's retina display, really (iPhone's height in landscape: 480 - Vita's height: 544). It just looks much bigger because the Vita's resolution is widescreen while iPhone's isn't.

Never used an iPhone, nor do I have a desire to ever own one, so I wouldn't have known. Lol

I'm rather shocked that there are hardly any vectors for me to use for new wallpapers. If anyone from NIS is reading this, how about it......can ya give a helping hand with this?

If I can't get any new vectors from NIS, I'll probably move on to making Vita wallpapers of Disgaea or such.....let's wait and see.
