Just how strong was Val as the Tyrant?

Postby the8anarchist » Sun Mar 18, 2012 3:44 pm

when you really think about it, if val, after 400 years of not drinking human blood, and the lack of fear energy, is capable of going toe to toe with Zetta of all people and being considered a worth rival by Zetta, then just how strong was he back then? would he be on equal terms with Baal and Zenon in power? minus ya know the kill everything attitudes they had/have.
Kill for gain, or shoot to maim, we don't need a reason.

Well, Val didn't really go toe-to-toe against Zetta in the first place (unless if you crazy reincarnated Val or somehow overlevels him in any way), he beat Zetta with his comrades... is what the storyline would like you to believe. If he still remains the Tyrant he was 400 years ago, then he would probably manhandles Zetta like a real Netherworld Tyrant. Against Baal and Zenon, I think he can hold his own against either of them.

Then again, I haven't really downloaded the DLC myself, so I can't really tell. but as far as the DLC appears, Val's unique skill "Tyrant Flughude" is much more badass back when Val is still a Tyrant.

Ignoring in-game stats....

Well, in the flashback, he did create a hole in Minitrose's building,
which was built to withstand Overlord-power attacks, landmarking him as stronger than the typical overlord.

He also beat Baal in the DLC, and he's like, big boom boom.

Well, he ain't being called a Tyrant for no reason. A mere demon jail can't hold much against him. :D

I always liked fists and swords. They always had my favorite specials.

Swords are always sweet but fists are frustrating just because you can't see them.

Well they are "fists" so you can see them since all characters have hands.

Haha nice, I was thinking they could replace the fists with claws or maybe gauntlets.

Well for one thing I like fists better. Change scares me a lot of times. Oh and if it ain't broke don't fix it (if it can be improved that's different but I don't think it's much of an improvement).

change can be fun but you have to admit it would be nice to actually see the weapon instead of nothing being there.
