I'm religious but I choose my own way of life. I don't necessarily follow Islam to the book. There are some things that I disagree with, but it does have an impact in my life. I believe in God, but I'm just not pious. Religion is something I was never too crazy about, but it's nice to have something to believe in.

That's all well and good, but when that reprehensible item appears that you disagree with, your perspective is somehow evil by opposition. There are/were laws which forbid and punish insignificant deeds, or that purposefully subjugate or segregate, that oppress; these are believed by many—often the majority—as proper.

While I concede that it's the right of the majority, I don't agree that it suddenly renders the opposing or dissenting perspective evil, unjust or reproachable simply because it's heterodox.

Oh yeah don't get me wrong, I agree that morality is very subjective. I try not to judge people, even if I disagree with their actions~

And hopefully I don't somehow come off as a judgmental person.
