I just picked up a few pieces of DLC that were released this last week including Roms maid outift, new weapon and a few others. After I downloaded these I noticed something odd. Whenever I would fire the game up and go into combat the game would hang a bit before transitioning into combat. And then again after each party member came up for their round it would lag for a second or two. I don't remember my game doing this prior to this last batch of downloads.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Note this only happens for the first round of combat each time I fire up the game. After that it seems to run normally.

Same here, and I only bought the two new characters plus the DLC island. I also found this issues when I was trying to watch their supermoves.

This happens to me all the time. The game is caching data to your HDD. Just look at your HDD activity LED when this goes on. I usually wait before I start a battle, but that was before my SSD was put in...
If you keep battling, I did notice it took a while longer for the game to cache its data, but other than that this is normal...

Really? I only noticed this since I acquired some of the DLC. I thought it was in some way tied to such. Maybe not.

Battles are fine on mine, and I've bought a fair amount of the DLC. I just get a bit of stutter with some CS, and certain dungeons, but I think thats the game engine and how the movies were done.

Oh, was it the DLC?
The only time I ever lag is when during the first fight after restarting/turning on the game. When it's my characters turn, she usually ends up standing there with no ability to move or anything for about 5~10 seconds. Might happen once or twice with each character during that one battle but afterwards, it's all fine til I turn off my game and try again then same thing happens. Not really a big issue to me.

I don't think the DLC has to do with this, but is it just me or is the first cutscene (when you start New Game) kinda... frameratey to anybody? Just started playing this. Even the 3D models seem jaggy compared to the first game, but I doubt it's my TV since I played the first game with this same TV.

It is always (or usually) like that.
