Help with raising Lily ranks

Does anyone know exactly how the battles are calculated in far as raising Lily ranks? I take it that you must have Nepgear fighting and then the three people fighting with her slowly go up in Lily ranks. I wonder how fast the Lily ranks go up by doing that and if having the person win and doing the pose makes the Lily rank go up a tiny bit faster for that person. I wonder if making the person the leader helps to raise the Lily rank a little bit faster as well.

Gear doesn't have to be fighting. And every character works differently. So, calculating it all would be a nightmare to say the least.

Mizu thinks that having them have the killing blow is what makes the difference. And I'd agree with that from the experiences I've had with Lily ranks.

From experience I can say my lily ranks went up faster through doing battles when infact the character whose lily rank you were trying to increase dealt the killing blow and was the character featured in the winning/RESULT animation.
