Burger King

So I was watching the news today and there was a big thing about Burger King. They say that they are going to do a bunch of stuff to become #1. http://www.usatoday.com/money/industries/food/story/2012-04-01/burger-king-makeover-reinvention/53935172/1

Burger King has always been my favorite restaurant but I do agree that they need to make some changes. I think that they should have french fries like Wendys including the sea salt, and they should have coffee like McDonalds. Those are the only two things that I would change. What do you guys think?

If anything, they should make their burgers less sloppy.

Burger King and even a large portion of McDonalds are really trying to rebrand. It's actually nice to see the menu changed around a bit, but it's still going to be the usual burgers and fries. They're just going for a more... fancy style, like how back decades ago, fast food was a great place to take a family out for a meal. They're getting out of that diner-scene, and to try to look more modernized and make the burgers more... fancy I guess? McDonald's at least is trying to promote their premium burgers.

Still, fast food is pretty expensive if it's not Taco Bell or Jack in the Box. I really try to avoid fast food as much as I can, but sometimes it's so hard when you're busy and on the go, and need something really fast... I wish I had more time to actually make myself food for work, but I really hate cooking...

I'm looking forward to the changes at Burger King. Not only is Burger King my favorite place to eat, I have a Burger King only two or three blocks from my house.

I stopped by Burger King last week to try one of their smoothies. I ordered a small banana and strawberry smoothie and a spicy chicken off the dollar menu. That "meal" cost me $3.24 after tax. I have to say it was pretty damn good and inexpensive.

Well, that DOES look great. Probably better than BK's premium chicken sandwich, but I bet I can't get it off the dollar menu. There isn't a Wendy's within 50 miles, so I won't be trying it any time soon. Can you vouch for it's epicness? I don't want to toss $16 in gas for this and have it not be worth it.

BK is good but after the only place like it on base, it gets boring after a while, especially inspecting the fryer hood and duct system as a fire inspector. (EWW!! F+DIRTY!!)

North America has boxes now, but more for the premium choices. However, I do remember 2 decades ago, McDonalds used to serve all burgers in styrofoam boxes... I think regular ones too.

Whenever I finally make it to Asia/Japan/etc. I definately want to check out the fast food places! I know, it sounds weird to want to try something I can get back at home, but the menus differ so much country to country! Just like drinking Coke varies all over the world. ...I also hear Moss Burger is pretty good.

Personally, the best burger I've had in my entire life came from a fast food restaurant called BurgerFuel in New Zealand. I would gladly take another $4'500n if I could taste another Burger Fuel burger.
