Your First Reaction to Neptunia?

A thread like this may already exist, but searching yields no results...

I wish I could remember how I even discovered HDN in the first place. I think I was reading about the Console Wars or something and this game came up. Suddenly, I think it's an awesome idea. So, on New Year's Eve for 2012, I went and picked up HDN from Gamestop (to my complete surprise they had this game in stock NEW).

I started to play it around midnight, and I can remember my reaction to the first CG image I get...



And there takes the rest of that story where I'm entwined with this game and complete it, locking in my pre-order for Mk2 shortly after. But DAMN! I seriously wish I could remember how I found out about this game! It's like a writer's block in my head...

That aside, what was your reaction to the first time you [seen/played] Neptunia?

I discovered Neptunia through GameFaqs when it was in the Top 10 for a while. Went out and bought the premium edition. I loved it ♥

I first saw the news on Siliconera when it got announced in Japan... The concept and the colours of purples and blues... I knew I was in love at first sight!

Thats a bit complicated. My first exposure to HDN was someone on another forum having black heart as his avatar. I didnt know the source but i thought it was very cute and pretty at the same time. I was interested in the source and asked the guy but didnt get a response. I was convinced it must be some obscure artist original character cuz the best looking/drawn ones ALWAYS are. Several months later, but still months before HDN go localized, gamespot iirc of all places had an advertisement for it on their front page (i was on gamespot to search for release dates or something) i said "hmm that looks interesting" clicked it, and though, oh wow the character design is amazing... Then i saw black heart and i was like "well fuck... Sweet!"

I think the first time I heard about the game was in nov 2010. One of the people on YT I subscribed to, uploaded some videos of it. After watching some my first reaction was "If that get's localized, I need to get it."

I first heard of Neptunia in a official thread from neogaf

I was like "oh japan..." , shorly after I became interested when I heard the gameplay was similar to trinity universe, a game i liked a lot.

Then I played the game when It came out and turned into a neptunia Fanboy shortly after.

i found out about this game by watching the opening on youtube and found it interesting and did some research on it. strange thing is that i clicked on the video kind of randomly. i accidentally double clicked in the recommended area which brought me to the video...
