Furuya's obsessed with zombies. He collects any figurines, watches any movie, and plays any game with the living dead, and is even only interested in zombie girls. When his cat dies, Furuya begins trying to raise it from the dead using an ancient book of the occult he bought from a shop. I'm sure lots of people have read the Manga so spoilers in spoilers for those who haven't.

Anyways, it seems, at least from what I've seen, the Anime has been getting positive feedback so far from Ep1, I'm glad, I enjoyed the Manga. Also, second 'zombie' related Anime this season! Both by Studio Deen. (Other one is Kore wa Zombie).

No idea to be honest, stopped reading it a long time ago, bad habit of mines (tend to forget Manga I'm reading and stop keeping up with them if I'm reading online.)

The manga is fine, in a broad sense, it's not deviant or gruesome or anything. Some of the characters might seem kind of crazy (insane), but that's kind of true of most anime.

Assuming the scanlated chapters are caught up with what's released in Japan (I think they are), I'm still of the opinion that it was way too early for this show to get an anime, regardless of whether it deserves one or not (I found the manga pretty entertaining, but nothing amazing). I'll watch the first few anyway, maybe the anime will be a lot better.

I'm SO glad Sankarea got an anime adaptation! The manga was so much fun!
The first episode was really cool, but like Vampko said, it's kind of hard to grab people who haven't read the manga. So watch the second episode, everybody ~

After watching the firast episode and such I like this show so far, I'm curious to see how it will be down the road with the whole zombie relationship thing, lot of good animes so far.
