Funny thing seeing the Japanese making their games easier. :P

But still. That sucks. RAAAAAGE!

Just go and fluff some random battles, then you'll get some shrouds to use with some luck. :P

Okay, it's kinda terrible advice, but it's one of those things you'll never work out by yourself. :D

Lol, you don't need to tell me twice. As soon as I beat Hetacon, I'm gonna grind until I'm maxed out up to that point.

I was referring to the fact that the drop rate for shrouds goes way up if you fail spectacularly at battles. The fewer stars you get, the greater the chance of a shroud.
It worse inversely to the item drop and TP modifiers.

The game never tells you this (apart from higher ratings nets you more TP).

Now that's something I never knew. I thought the stars served absolutely no purpose whatsoever until you just told me that.

I suggest after defeating the boss of Chapter 11 grind on Gran Pulse until you can defeat the Neochu and get the growth egg by that point your characters will be super strong and with good enough strategy you will be able to defeat the Chapter 12 and 13 bosses in one try. The main thing your gonna wanna aim for at the start of grinding is Vanille's Death spell after obtaining this you can fight the Adamantoises and each will give you 40000 CP (80000 with Growth Egg) by summoning Hecaton then have another SAB debuff the enemy while Vanille spams Death. If you fail and it gets back up try again it's well worth the effort. After running out of TP go to the one spot with the King Behemoth that Ringwraith mentioned earlier and fight those things till your TP is full and repeat this process till your maxed out. It may take awhile as I spent about a week grinding on Gran Pulse but after that everything is smooth sailing.

I didn't even do that, although I did just end up doing almost all of the missions before I was probably supposed to.

Though really, you can probably get through without that much grinding, you just probably need all the primary roles filled up to their 8th stage at the very least before leaving chapter 11.

I got it. Thanks for all your guys' advice. The second I beat Fallout 3, I'm gonna make every effort to beat XIII.

This game's monster levelling system can be so frustrating at times. It's like this game is constantly trolling at me lately. *pulls out a rocket launcher and aims whoever invented it*

2 things.

1 it's on sale on amazon for 30$ right now (both platforms)

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003O6 ... B003O6JIVE

and 2 back to the topic of XIII, why are you people grinding? I seriously the game without having to grind at all. In fact during the last few chapters I actually skipped quite a few of normal monster battles & just took out the bosses. Fights in this game are more focused on strategy and less on stats.

So, I watched the ending. The secret official one. And I understand why people don't like it but,
Spoiler:
if it leaves room for Vanilla and Fang to come back for a third game, I'm good ~

Well I was referring to FF XIII that has no DLC.

...to answer your question, yes. I've beaten the Lighting DLC (too many times with still no crystal drop) and the Omega DLC. I also bought that whatever her name is from XIII DLC but only tried once. I figured it out but after 20 minutes or so didn't kill the Bahamut in time so she got a full health refresh and I just said F it and quit. I'm sure I'll go back and do it again later.

However what I said still applies. It's about strategy not stats.

No, I'm saying that the ending pretty much alluded to that happening, so while it sucks that one thing happened
Spoiler:
Serah died
, at the same time something that is much more amazing
Spoiler:
Vanilla and Fang are freed from their crystal prison
happens. So, I'm good with the ending, and REALLY hoping they DO make a 13-3 as long as they actually use that.
