That 1.5 patch that went into public beta has now been officially released on Steam is in the works for consoles as they've been submitted to their respective services.

Well, it seems Bethesda was paying attention to that guy who modded Kinect controls in Skyrim, as they're adding official Kinect support for the 360 version.
Well, it's only for voice commands though, although it brings with it features like being able to sort your inventory by value, weight, or even quicksaving/loading.

Of course, it's unlikely anyone here will care about this.

Now only if someone mods that in the PC version seeing as mics are much more common than Kinects...

For the price they are, probably not.
It's just a glorified microphone in this case, thus the cost is quite frankly extortion if you want to use it for just this.

true, I wanted it for Mass Effect for the same reason.

Plus I don't need to be any lazier so I'll stick to turning my xbox on and off with my hand.

Well, if you did have one if you watched movies or stuff on it, it can turn itself off even when you don't want to!

I need to tune up my computer and get more space. That way, I'll be able to enjoy Skyrim to the fullest... with all the cool mods and updates and stuff. *sigh*

Well, the beta for update 1.6 is out, and it contains the usual bug fixes and optimisations and one new feature:

Mounted Combat - Skyrim now allows you to do melee and ranged combat while riding a horse
