I just paid double whenever I bought stuff, as I guessed overpaying would do something.
I never did stop overpaying her like that though.
I went a little bit more crazy on my second playthrough, but I didn't use her that much then due to having most of the managraphics already, so it was a long while before she asked to join.

Miyu was my most frequently used mage ally. She had one of the highest magic attack, but unlike Tsubaki her HP, Attack, and Defense weren't total shit, either.

I tended to stick with whatever the main party was for the most part, so I never used her much.
Although she's quite tricky to combo efficiently (at least early on) if I recall, which is probably why I didn't bother much.
