Just watched the first episode. I loved it!

Since people may have watched the preair, I guess next week's episode is where the conversation will start gaining momentum.

I just watched episode 2, pretty sweet. I think the Burst Link game action is cool and all, but I really like the character designs for the real world. Assuming they come from the same source, it was cool that both the manga and anime stuck to the light novel illustrations. Also, EP by KOTOKO is neat~

ANN shows only 12 episodes for this season, I hope it's either wrong or another season gets green-lit since the manga isn't too far ahead (i.e. the translated content will easily fit into this season), I don't know how far they'll be able to get the plot in 12 episodes...

I'm almost positive that Accel World is supposed to be 2-cour (24 episodes). But if ANN only shows 12 episodes, then it might be split cour?

Edit: I'm pretty sure it is split cour. According to some reputable peeps on Animesuki, anyway.

ANN isn't the best source anyway, I'm sure they just put down 12 until they know for sure if it's 24 or something. Anyway, 24 episodes makes me happy.

Hmm, it's progressing slower than I thought it would. However, concerning the manga, it's pretty easy to cramp lots of background story/information into text bubbles, so I suppose Kuroyuki-hime having to spend half of the episode verbally explaining the Accel World history and her own past is the main cause.

The next mini-arc should probably take 2 episodes; I know what happens but am fuzzy on the specifics, so I don't know if it could bleed into part of episode 6. I'm definitely hoping for 2, so we can cover more ground this season.
