NIS DLC in Scandinavia

Postby Rend » Thu Apr 12, 2012 2:07 am

Hi

I am a long time fan of NIS RPG:S

Today I found out that , Scandinavia doesnt get anymore NIS DLC on PSN store in Europe.

That is the reason ; why I am here today -

I want to know the reason behind this as well as will Scandinavian / Poland ever see these missed DLC :s ?

I'm presuming it's the same reason why the Netherlands hasn't been getting DLC, in that the supporting documentation, (all the stuff you never see), that has to be sent with all PSN store item submissions has to be in the language of the region they want to sell it in.
Thus they seem to be currently lacking the ability to translate in certain languages.

That Scandinavia + Polen don't get NIS DLC don't bother me that must, since i buy US version of NIS game, but the fact that NIS Avatar neither get released bothers me (Want Atelier and HDN avatar).

Hello :)
I am a long time NIS fan, been importing your games from US to Poland when they weren't released in Europe and buy EU versions now. It makes me really mad that for some strange reason Poland and Scandinavian countries are getting shafted and no one is able to provide us with an answer.

Can we get one? Is this a problem with translating content for the store? if so, than I don't understand... Polish store states clearly that not all content is available in Polish. Hell.... I can do those translations for you ~_~.

I don't understand why you don't want our money... :?

Well

I have free time and will work for free

Thus if you want to translate those documents to finnish i can do that.

Why - Because i love games and i want to unlock all there is to them , be it chars , avatars ect

I am willing to sign a contract incase you are afraid of possible repercussions , where I will acknowledge that I will work for free and all benefits gained from this will be transfered to NISA and that they will have free access to my work and to use it how they see fit -

Or similar legal mumbo jumbo ;)

This would benefit all - fans get more content , you get more customers

So feel free to contact me

I am certain there are more scandinavian/poland/dutch people on these forums who are qualified to translate in their languages and are willing to translate those documents as well.

That possibly has already been brought up before and they said they'd prefer to use someone who can have their work vouched for, as after all they can't check. Which seems reasonable.
Although it has been quite a while now, so I think it's becoming more of a problem than anyone originally thought.

I feel little scammed... I bought my copy via Play.com, and after that i find out i cant get DLC for it...
Should have checked it beforehand.

I hope in future, they will import/include works in PS Store for Scandinavia countries.

The regions have to match, so as long as you have a EU copy your local PSN store will work with it, as you're in the EU region by definition.
However, there's currently problems getting the DLC available in some countries, they're certainly not intentional, and should eventually be fixed.

Sony finally spoken about this Issue:

1. Why are Disgaea and Hyperdimension DLC not available in Scandinavian territories?
A. This was sadly a decision the publisher has made. At this time it doesn’t seem likely DLC will be available in the region.

But if it's anything related to the earlier problems with lacking a Dutch version, it's not really a conscious decision like that. It's more one of can't rather than won't currently.

Mind you, in that update the fact the Dragon's Dogma demo is only available to Plus subscribers in Germany amuses me for its pointlessness.

I obviously didn't word that clearly enough, it's normal availability everywhere else, but if you're in Germany you can only get if you're a Plus subscriber.

WoW that suxs.
Know Germany some times get Censure games, because they contains Nazi or something Germany fear can lead to Germany starting WW3, but why ain't Dragon's Dogma available to normal user?

According to Sony - http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2012/04/ ... pril-2012/ have NIS chosen not to release Avatar, DLC and Disgaea 3 in Scandinavia or Polen (Smell a lie).

This is what amuses me, it's for no good reason. :P

If you're going to simply repeat the same thing (and not check a few posts up, it's not like it's buried!) Then I shall do too:
