In the first game she clearly says she can take all 3 other goddesses on (sounding a bit cocky) i doubt her regular form would of said such a thing

A boost in confidence doesn't indicate a complete personality change.

In HDD, Neptune is generally more serious. I'd say she's equally confident no matter what the form, but in Human form, it's more amusing.

She doesn't have a drastic personality change. At heart, her values and goals remain the same, but she ceases to act childish. So to say it's just her voice that changes, is a total misrepresentation.

She doesn't 'cease to act childish' though

She becomes more serious, as do all the other CPUs, that's pretty much comes natural for all of them. Which doesn't matter, since her overall personality remains the same.

None of the other goddesses change their speech pattern. There's a clear cut difference between how Neptune and Purple Heart talk, and I'm not talking about pitch in voice.

Actually, in Mk2
Uni and co did change their speech in HDD form slightly. Not just their pitch.

But that doesn't indicate a personality change, so she becomes more serious?
She's been proven time and time again to be the same old Neptune, HDD or not.

I'd be exactly like that-- acting like myself when normal, and srsing the eff up when I need to.
Oh wait, that's how I am all the time ~

*Goes to eat dinner*

Is that so? I've only played the JP version. I noticed a change in the sound of their voice, but any change in speech pattern went right over my head.

I never doubted that she wasn't the same old Neptune. At her core, she's the same exact person, but there's a tweak in that person. Neptune has gotten serious outside of HDD form, but that form of serious sounds different than Purple Heart's serious mode. Neptune has a way of talking a like a goofy kid overemphasizing her sentences with saying things like "toooootally," even while she's serious. Transforming into Purple Heart, she stops acting this way. If you don't see it, I'm fine with that. I just wanted to offer up a differing opinion, but it's pointless to keep going on about this because you see it one way and I see it the other way, and neither of us will change our minds. So yeah xD

All the goddesses were acting like that though. This is what happens when you have to cope with the same three people for thousands of years...
Sik is pronounced like "seek", not like "sick".

Yeah but they act similarly in their regular form while Neptune is full of laughs

I kinda could see nep saying that in her normal form as well. Sure it wouldn't sound as 'serious', but I could definitely seeing her saying 'I could take on all yaz totally!"

Or something like that.

But that doesn't make much a difference to me, because Neptune is still the Nep-Nep I love, in and out of HDD. I don't see much a difference, because it doesn't seem all that drastic.

However, here's my view on it-- yes her tone changes, yes she stops acting like a kid. But when I think about it-- I remember how she doesn't like to go into HDD; stated in Mk2-- hinted at in HDN and blatantly stated in her character description for V, in fact she's said that she only does it when she absolutely needs to. (Or has a reason too-- freaking amusement park height requirements xD)

The change in that carefree attitude to her more serious side, is probably because she wants to get whatever it is she needs to get done out of the way-- because she doesn't like transforming. If that were the case, I could easily see her dropping her playful attitude for that reasoning alone.

That's why the change doesn't effect me, since I see it as an extension of her current attitude. She doesn't like going into HDD, so she becomes more serious and less carefree.
