I wonder if we'll ever get Promise as a DLC song...

Ah~ as in Promise song by Chihaya correct? having that song on the game would be a treat. Hopefully with backup singers too, Chihaya just by herself seems kind of...empty, in a way. I find the song that was used in the anime a lot...better XD

Playing them, I'd think you could get away with it stateside as long as you include a nice, detailed map of Japan in the instructions or something. Shouldn't really need anything else to be accommodated for. Whether or not there's a solid target audience is another matter, but there's certainly an established fanbase.

I am trying the demo on the Japanese PSN. I would most likely buy it too, if it ever made it here in English.

I've been playing the demo on my PS3 quite a bit, and it's actually a lot of fun if you're into musical games. I created a Japanese PSN account to download the demo, btw. But anyways, the game is actually playable without translation, but having it stateside with all of its DLC would be a mega-money machine for NISA. Seriously, the DLC for this game puts anything else to incredible shame!

So yes..DO WANT.

Actually, if you're playing the full game, you really need to know a lot of Japanese. It's very story-based so if you want to get anywhere (Like unlocking all costumes/songs and getting to the top), then you really need to know your Japanese. There's a guide in production for those who import the game, though.

I linked a couple of guides in the other thread. They cover literally everything. You can play the game with zero Japanese knowledge, just don't expect to know what's going on in the story.

Ah, yeah I should probably link the gameplay guides in the first post for those who need em.

I do use the guide, but pretty much only for the geography quiz

I've more or less memorized which responses are the best ones for morning communication, but I do have to reference that chart sometimes.

Also, I use it for perfect communication during promotions and story events. The Story Timeline is helpful, too, for planning out my activities.

Other than that, though, not much use for it anymore.

That Geography Quiz....

I'm not very good at jan ken po.

Also, I just read what the answers are and it's pretty obvious who's gonna like which answer.

Well for the greetings there are some general guidelines. Exclamation points are always good, the only question mark is bad, the only "OK" is good. Just about every answer that ends in "yo" is good for a nice comment. The problem is that not everything is universal and sometimes it's hard to get a read on the idol if you can't really know what they're saying. Miki had this annoying habit of complaining or being snooty with the biggest smile on her face.

Janken's kinda hard for some idols and easy for others. I could never figure out the difference between Miki's Paper and Scissors faces so I always had to default to throwing paper, but Makoto's such an easy read that I can tell what she throws every time.

See....I always chose Mami for my Jan ken excercises, so it's kinda hard xD

Also, one problem to note, the guide is based on the 360 version, and there are actually responses that are exclusive to the PS3 version. I've run into them before, but it's no problem if you can read Japanese :P
