Concerning Pre-Orders

Postby ZekeFreek » Sun May 20, 2012 1:19 pm

Certain sites, well, I'll be honest, I've only ever heard of Amazon doing it, but sometimes when you pre-order an item, they will ship it a day or two early in order to increase the chances of it arriving on release day, as opposed to several days later.

Does NISA follow this practice? or simply ship pre-ordered items on launch day?

When possible, NISA ships early. Most games tend to arrive prior to the street date.

Ah. Thanks, that's good to know.

Though I can't imagine a situation where it wouldn't be possible. Its just most sites don't seem
To do it like that.

They try to ship it to so it will arrive on its release date at the latest.
Of course this means the closer you are to them, the sooner you'll get it.

They do send them out pretty early, people getting games a week or nearly two before release isn't that unusual.
You're only really going to get it after release if you're shipping it internationally, and probably then only across a sea.

They send them all out at the same time, or at least as close enough for it not to matter.
They just send everything out early.

Re: Concerning Pre-Orders

Well, the only thing that gets me is that this upcoming monday is Memorial Day (meaning the post office will get backed up due to the holiday), so normally they try to ship out the games even earlier, like Disgaea 4 since it fell around Labor Day weekend. That's why a lot of people (me including who got the major special edition set with the figures) got their Disgaea 4 early. I was hoping that to be the case with Meruru, but mine got billed two days ago, and yet my account page still says it's pending fulfillment...meaning it's not shipped yet. Not to mention I haven't gotten an email saying it's been sent, so I don't know with me living on the East Coast if I'll get mine by street date or not at this point...

Actually, I think Disgaea 4 launched on Labor Day specifically. What a busy day,Ibought like 6 games that day.

It could have, but usually games are released on tuesdays in general, and labor day is always a monday. But yeah, it's thursday morning and there's no email saying it's been shipped. NISA got their money from me monday without a hitch, which is weird for me. Usually as soon as they take my dollars I get a notification that day or the next saying the game has been shipped.

I'm not expecting my game to arrive by street date now...bummer...
