Hi, I've been reading this thread for a while but it's my first time posting. Ah actually, I just made an ID so I could join in. I'm a big fan of Gust series that had published by NISA such as Atelier Iris series, Mana Khemia, and Ar Tonelico.
As for this game, Atelier Elkrone (you could find the newest detailed storyline in
http://koiiro.wordpress.com/category/ot ... r-otomate/ ), I found it very interesting because this type of game (otome game) is rarely published in English (so the market competititon is not hard, right?). The first official English otome game in PSP is Hakuouki, which received positive reviews from English market. That means there's so many otome game fans out there who's longing for more english otome games.
The link I provided above is a website dedicated for otome games, too. You could see that passion for this kind of game is fiery enough. I personally think that Elkrone has a chance to be more success than Hakuouki since Elkrone use English names, and pretty medieval western setting which is more familiar to English gamers.
It's also a good chance to reach the girl gamer market. I'm one of a girl gamer who loves to play game with visual novel format and beautiful art (as you could see from almost all Gust games). And if Atelier Elkrone was published in English, I'd be sure to buy it immediately^^ This game has beautiful story and art, like made by paint brush. Girl always loves anything like this.
The platform which this game is in, PSP, could be played by everyone. It's not expensive so many people could play this game!^^I myself have been saving some money to buy PSP, in case this game is truly published in English!^^
So please, NISA, publish Atelier Elkrone in english version. A game with romance+alchemy+battle is very interesting, but we need a light and peaceful game once in a while, especially this game since the genre is quite rare. It would be a great choice for curious gamers, and maybe it would become a first step so more otome games are published in English!^^ who said that English gamers don't like dating sims+visual novel? Hakuouki just proved it, and it's Atelier Elkrone's turn to rock in the spotlight!
Thanks! Waiting...waiting...*wish for luck*
