This is the newest game from the creator of Harvest Moon, Yasuhiro Wada and his studio Toybox. Like Harvest Moon, the game is simulation style but instead of working on creating the best farm, you'll work on creating the best shop. You pick your gender and will change outfits. There will be an online aspect. The game is being published by Natsume and Rising Star for the USA and Europe respectively.

So by 'portable game systems' does that mean PSP/3DS PSV/3DS? Or just 3DS or Vita or PSP?

it's not very clear.

What a surprise for the composer! I'm actually surprised that the game ended up being like Harvest Moon. Isn't this what Grand Bazaar was like? (And Reccetear for that matter). I guess i was thinking it would be different than a rural economy game.

Uematsu composing for this is less surprising than him composing for Neptune V... but alright then.

Anyway, I've never been able to get into shop simulation games like this, it's always confused, annoyed, and bored me. What exactly do people find... fun about these? =/

Well I guess you could say the same about gardening simulators :O As someone in retail, I haven't played my copy of Grand Bazaar yet, so I wonder if someone like me would find it fun :p

Uematsu is doing Neptune now?! Behind on the news, but colour me excited!

No clue...I'm perfectly fine with Rune Factory, because it has combat in it (or at least ToD did) but I can;t imagine playing a simulator game

Confirmed on Siliconera to be Mobile/3DS, Pokemon Illustrator Atsuko NishIda is doing the Character Designs and Sprite.

Well this seals the deal for me. Don't know when, but I'll most likely pick this up. All-Star Team, indeed :)

I want to see how they're going to sell the same game for $40 on one platform, and $5 on the other.

Very good question... It would have to be more of a budget title (at either $20-30) for it to even come close to working. Stupid phone game prices, when it comes to REAL games for it, that is. Then again, Square games DO run for a premium, as far as phone games are concerned.

Square games can be anywhere from 15-20 dollars and the Higurashi series can end up being upwards of 29+ dollars, and not all of the episodes have been released. There are also lots of other apps that are for different things and cost upwards of 40+ dollars or more. So no, this won't be $5.

I expect this to be a little cheaper for mobile devices, but not all that much. Probably $30.

Wait, wut?!?!

That's what I've been asking myself about both Phoenix Wright 1 and Ghost Trick on the DS vs. iPhone.

The games on the iPhone are a fraction of the cost of their DS counterparts...

Pokemon Illustrator Atsuko NishIda is doing the Character Designs and Sprite.

Wait, wut?!?!

What the hell is going on here?!?!
