Currently finished episode 9 of Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Out of curiosity, hows the dub? Do the VAs match the personality of the characters?

Watching Higurashi again. Love it, but this series simply put doesn't scare me. Then again, I've seen some pretty horrific, nausiating things in my life so I'm pretty difficult to scare.
I must say however that the dub is underrated. Its one of those things that seems to get better later (especially around the Eye Opening chapter). I think the problem stems namely from Rika and Keiichi. The former sounds much better in her adult voice (which is why I'm disappointed that we're never getting the final two story arcs) and the later sounding like the Dark Hero makes it hard to take him seriously. Don't get me wrong, the Dark Hero is hilarious and that voice makes the comedic segments pretty finny, but it kind of takes the edge off of his more serious moments as I imagine Axel swinging that bat around.

Awful. Like Higurashi level awful. Don't go anywhere near if you value your sanity.

I'm up to episode 21 of Bodacious Space Pirates and I'm still enjoying it. I've also finished Another which I enjoyed except for the last couple minutes of episode 12. I also finished a few other shows.

Watched the first two eps of Gintama. It's definitely a funny show, but yeah, Sket Dance is more to my tastes. Still, it's a good show

Gintama starts getting closer to Sket Dance in humor after a while (the humor you saw in the Cross over is similar to the actual anime now) it's just more crude...much, much more so, but yeah, I think I was starting to enjoy Sket Dance more by the time Gintama came to an end, as much as I love the cast from Gintama...Sket Dance shares cast members anyways

Currently watching Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere...I should be caught up by the time the first episode becomes available to free users, even without focusing on it

Most likely, there are times that Gintama is funnier than Sket Dance, and vice versa...though now Sket Dance has no competition, so it of course, wins out in the end

If I remember correctly, Sket Dance was made by one of the assistants of Soraichi (Gintama's Mangaka), just like Fairy Tail was made by an assistant of Oda...it's pretty cool how that works out, since both are similar in a way

As for Yuru Yuri...most of the summer stuff starts this month, so they should be up sooner or later :P

Well It's more a problem that the subs don't go up right away on my Roku for some reason that I still don't get. I could watch the ep on my laptop, but my laptop sucks...

On the home straight with AnoHana. What an emotional rollercoaster it's been, it's certainly right up there for me. A great purchase, thank you NISA for your work bringing this anime over.

It may not have a dub, but the sequel Higurashi Kai has been released in Australia. If you have a region free player then you're fine.

Just watched the first episode of Dusk Maiden of Amnesia; nexts on my list are Hanagai (which actually has a much more longer name) and Legend of the Legendary Heroes (or LOL Heroes  )

My PC sucks too, but I have no problems with Media Player Classic and the K-Lite Codec Pack, even with 1080p videos.

I can watch actual DVD's on my computer and they'll lag. This goes for standard Definition AVI's and of course things get worse with HD stuff...

My laptop has problems....
I hope the PS3 App comes soon >_<

I just now wtached the last 3 episodes of the first season of Hayate no Gotoku. Guess I was right about saying it takes me 2-3 months to finish it. I started it on May 1st and finshed it on July 11th. Only thing that's sad is that 28 episodes were watched in the first 4 days.

So now it's time for a rating:

Animation: 7,5/10
Sound: 8/10 (OP1 6/10, OP2 9/10), (ED1 6/10, ED2 9/10, ED3 8,5/10, ED4 6/10)
Story: 7,5/10
Characters: 7,5/10 (would've been an 8 if it weren't for Nagi)
Enjoyment: 8/10

Overall: 7,5/10

I had a hard time deciding between a 7,5 and an 8 in the overall rating. I went for the 7,5 due the huge amount of filler episodes (around 20).

Watched 2 OVAs
first was
I can't remember the name, but it had something to do with magic and Miso Soup. It was entertaining, but I really hope it gets turned into an actual anime. That was basically just advertising for a light novel.

Second was
Marimo no Hana
Pretty entertaining! Really hoping this could turn into an actual series at some point...
