I'm guessing will get some info from TGS, but I don't like the sound of it being a complete reboot I don't want another remake which was pure shit and ruined the continuity.

Agreed. 5 and 4 were fun, but they had too much action. I want more of the scary zombies and not the whole 'mowing down zombies with mah shotgun' mentality they've brought. I guess I've still got Siren for that at least. Is it too much to ask for a survival horror game where you actually feel helpless?

A reboot doesn't sound very promising... What's wrong with the game the way it is now? When they have something good why can't they just leave it alone. I'm still excited to hear about it either way, it's Capcom, the have great games and the RE series has always been good so I have faith.

I don't want a reboot for two main reasons, reason one they already redid the first game enough and ruined it second reason there's so many things left unanswered from what happened to all the other survivors and we find out about the Wesker Children near the end of RE5 I need some more backstory to that.

A lot of people are like dur hur hur who plays RE for the story it sucks, well I enjoy the story of the canon(minus RE4 cause that story actually did suck) and even some of the non canon story arc(the novels mostly).

I don't want a reboot. I want Ada Wong and Claire Redfield on the same game as playable characters. Jill Valentine too. Not Sheva, though.

Dead rising to replace RE as capcom's top franchise? I don't like the sound of that.

And I agree with crono. I love the storylines in resident evil except for 4. Everyone praises 4 and I think that's the worst of the main series, though not the worst of the resident evil series as a whole. But I got really into the stories and I think that is what made them so great in the first place. And we really need more backdrops like the mansion. Such a simple idea, but so brilliant.

That is a concern but I think they can co-exist since RE is way different, if Capcom really wants to ditch a series I say get rid of Mega Man.

Not until I see Legends 3. I've been waiting for that game FOREVER. And, well, the way RE has gone has been terrible, I only liked 5 because of the co-op. Without it, it would have been worse than 4. And yeah, i'm also someone who didn't like 4 all that much. It was fun, but I consider it the worst of the series. With 5 being second worst. 2 was my favorite. Code Veronica was really fun as well.

Haha, true. I prefer a few more Resident Evil games than another Megaman that's crappy (like this one that's coming out).

I think I liked 5's storyline over 4's even if 5 wasn't the greatest game, but the co-op definitely saved 5 in my book. I don't know why a lot of people complained about it. They probably just didn't have a real person to play with because with another person it was awesome.
